Lerhman/Higgins Inquiry

Post by trekkertony » August 13, 2023, 6:56 pm

The Sofronoff Report has been made known. The crown prosecutor in the initial trial has been found to have lied to the Supreme Court, been found to have committed gross misconduct and by withholding vital evidence from the defence counsel denied Bruce Lerhman a fair trial. He has been disgraced yet the left leaning ACT Government allowed Drumgold to resign rather than sack him. The irony beyond this is Brittany Higgins after being handed $2M - $3M by the federal government to compensate her for her mental well being and the likelihood that she cannot work again in the foreseeable future. Brittany has now commenced employment at the UN as an intern. For those who are interested, Channel 7, courtesy of the a program called [b]Spotlight[b] explore the alleged rape, the role of Senator Gallagher in using the allegation to attempt to bring down the government of the day.

Can you be more specific? Did the report say anything about Senator Kate Gallagher? I watched the program and could not find the report addressed anything other than the conduct of the police and prosecutor

No they did not. To sack him, they had to follow protocols, have a hearing, allow him to lodge a defence etc. He chose to resign before the correct procedure to dismiss him was put in place. It's called the Public Service Act 1999.

In the past few years 10 public servants in the ACT did exactly the same thing. If the correct procedures are not followed, the employee in question has a range of options including Judicial review. The Act government did not 'allow' the guy to resign. If he resigns they cannot refuse that resignation, so the 'allow' statement is fatuous. These procedures are not 'left leaning' that is your biased slant on the matter.

Still waiting on your response about the inquiry report fingering Kate Gallagher.

What is this all about? You drop a stink bomb about left wing governments and a Labor Finance Minister, then fail to produce anything apart from an opinion and inuendo. When challenged to produce a single element of fact, you become Khun Griffin.

Your history on this site of bomb dropping and being called out is unparalleled
