Politics the world over is so tedious nowadays .. across al parties sleaze, coruption and mud slinging take president over actual policies and doing whats best for the people.

I have noticed the general hatred for DT around the world mirrored her on UM by the resident "experts" is clouding the fact just how inept Harris has and continues to be .. Biden is just ticking off the days and making no real effort or decisions and shes just swanning around trying to look the presidential part.

For the record i dont give a rats ass who wins ..DT would be the more entertaining yet Harris will create the more laughs (unless you are American)...beware buyer/voter remorse on both sides as IMO it will be a clusterfook whoever gets the nod.

Either way what an absolute terrible choice these 2 contenders vying for the POTUS arguably the most powerful position in the world today (other than Scunthorpe United manager).

In a country of so many there HAS TO BE SOME ONE OUT THERE BETTER...it appears in recent times and the for see able future there isnt.

DM
Broad agreement there, but when it comes to "more entertaining" or giving "more laughs", I don't automatically think of the White House or its occupants.

But there's always FES at CCW on Fridays. Now that's a hoot.

ICE Crashes Kamala Photo-Op Border Visit

Turns out, the Biden-Harris administration didn’t just let in 10 million illegals. According to ICE, at least 500,000 of them are convicted criminals with rap sheets containing numerous crimes.

For the math challenged, that means that at least 5% are ex-cons and/or wanted criminals in their home countries.

Worse, the White House has no idea where they are. Border Patrol has been ordered by DHS to release them all into the country. Some have even been flown into cities around the United States -- mostly cities that vote historically Republican.

Approximate Count
13,000 convicted murderers
15,000 convicted rapists

Democrat voters laugh and laugh and laugh about no wall being built; but they ignore this activity by their team.

The Washington times is an infamous publication that has a well documented history of fake news and promoting conspiracy theories. The article has zero credibility.

Border Patrol Union releases statement:
Vice president Harris has ignored the border problem she created for over three years. She goes down there for 20 minutes for a photo op and decides to repeat some of the things the NPBC has said before. But again, where has she been the last 3 1/2 years?

Inconveniently, none of them seem to tell us when all these crims entered the US - surely they weren't all over the past 4 years. :-k

In fact, your WT link tells us it was over "decades".
In reality, they came over the course of decades.
This link seems to indicate there has been a substantial increase in the number of immigrants with criminal records arrested during the Biden administration, compared to the 4 years the BoB was in charge.

Well, the CBP and DHS numbers appear to show that there has been significantly greater active enforcement under Biden than under Trump. Unless, of course, you believe that DHS and CBP are part of the nation-wide, or perhaps international, anti-Trump conspiracy and are lying, fabricating the numbers. And it could have been even better if Trump hadn't killed the legislation which had already been agreed to by a bipartisan committee in Congress, and was pretty much exactly what the Republicans in Congress wanted.

BTW, any statistics on how many household pets have been kidnapped, cooked and eaten by illegal immigrants?

Interesting psychological and sociological analysis of why people support Trump given all that we know about him. Agree or disagree, it presents some interesting theories.

During a speech in Douglas, Arizona, Harris spoke about how “politicians have refused to come together to fix” the immigration system in the nation.

“In the four years that Donald Trump was president, he did nothing to fix our broken immigration system. He did not solve the shortage of immigration judges. He did not solve the shortage of border agents. He did not create lawful pathways into our nation. He did nothing to address an outdated asylum system and did not work with other governments in our hemisphere to deal with what clearly is also a regional challenge.”

CLAIM: Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that former President Donald Trump “did nothing to fix” the broken immigration system in the United States.

VERDICT: False.

During the Trump Administration, migrants and border invaders were vetted. Those with criminal backgrounds were turned away. ICE was also charged with deporting illegal aliens -- especially those with criminal records. This has not been the case during the Biden-Harris years.

Trump cut off foreign aid to Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala over a failure to stop migrant caravans from making their way to the US. Trump ended the temporary protected status of El Salvadoran migrants, constructed more than 400 miles of a border wall along the US-Mexico border and ended catch-and-release for migrant families.

The ending of catch-and-release was a huge win for Americans because it meant border patrol agents were given a legal alternative to the catch-and-release rules which had been allowing migrants to legally enter the country with their children, and by claiming asylum, be released into the country.

The issue of a lack of border patrol agents being hired is an issue that predates the Trump. Since 2011, even Politico acknowledges that hiring has decreased because border jobs are not coveted. As of 2023, the US Customs and Border Protection agency ranked among the bottom agencies.

Fewer illegal aliens in country and fewer illegal aliens coming to the border translates to lower enforcement numbers.

Thousands under Trump vs Millions under Biden-Harris. Even a child would understand that.

I don't know. It's only the right wing media that embellished her job description with being "Border Czar" job. Maybe gaze deeply into your navel if you honestly seek any answers to that.

Sure, that's one possible explanation for the numbers. Another is that enforcement was more aggressive during Biden. They are equally statistically likely. Any evidence that yours is more likely?

And, of course, if Mexico had paid for that wall as Trump promised . . . .

Or if Trump hadn't ordered Congressional Republicans to vote against the bi-partisan legislation on border enforcement . . . .

A lot more household pets would be alive in Ohio today.

Tam, that was for their own safety, so they wouldn't be kidnapped, cooked and eaten by the illegal aliens.

The word caged is a wee bit emotional. What would you have done, put children in general population prisons or just turn them free to be preyed upon by child traffickers.
Its a no win situation, same as the illegal (or now to be called irregular, sheesh Wokeism) invaders who come over from the really really dangerous France.

"Caged" certainly is emotional, no question. It evokes horrible images. How else might they have been housed? Secure dormitories, perhaps.

Probably a more apt description UM, but when have the lefties ever used non emotional descriptions of those that dont bow to their version of the world.

Good thing that Trump never uses hyperbole. The difference, however, is that he believes his lies. Did you hear the one about how the crowd at his inauguration was much larger than the crowd at MLK's I Have A Dream speech?

As long as Trump is breathing anything that he says has to be taken with a very large pinch of salt. The man
is a lunatic. Trouble is many in the USA dont see it. Keep your pets safe and your powder dry.
