My oldest step-daughter works in the accounts department at a private hospital for wealthy patients in Bangkok. She is involved in tracking the hospital assets. She tells me the hospital is now being renovated so that it can deal with lots of Covid 19 patients.

One of the offers on the table has been that a ship used for Criuse Liner for vacations could be used as a hospital (which would be welcomed during a war which this is turning into )

This is due to a number of reasons, self contained, kitchens, rooms, minimal security required to make sure no one leaves in teh middle of the night and or day, laundry facilities etc

They were broadcasting this morning on the loud hailers on the poles, funny because I was out in the yard before 6, and thought the volume was extra loud. I asked why all the volume and what was said. My girl told me the village boss was warning everyone to make sure anyone returning from bkk had to stay at home.
So at least they are making an effort. Will be difficult though to control them due to the Thai pigheadedness.

Therre have been some interesting graphic features in the New York Times of late. One yesterday showed how the virus spread across all 50 states in the US.
Today's shows how the virus spread out of Wuhan. A few interesting notes:
15,000 people from Wuhan went to Bangkok in Jan. The first known oversea case involved a woman from Wuhan who traveled to Bangkok.
