Shes Correct also Makro only sells Food no appliances You maybe able to find a shop to buy as a suggestion
With regard to Makro in Udon, last week I saw a chap securing 4 boxes with electric fans on his load in his pick-up. When inside, I could see the hardware sections to the left is fenced off but staff were still behind the fence with a gate. It looked like it was possible to buy but you couldn't go in and browse? You named what you wanted and staff brought it to the gate like Global House were doing. May be order online and pick up?

If anyone is shopping there today, maybe they can check? There's plenty signs in Thai but I didn't have my pocket-sized translator with me.

Yes I saw a fridge/freezer being loaded onto the back of a pick up too so they were still selling them when we were there a couple of days ago.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Kettles here are a nightmare, I've gone through loads since I've been here in 5 years, I got so cheesed off of throwing them I started repairing them so I currently got 2 we are using 4 repaired and 2 I keep for spares but I must have thrown away at least another 2 in that time. Fortunately it's usually the switch that knackers first and you can buy the switches online (Lazada), they all seem to use the same ones.

On our second kettle in 13 years of marriage. It's a heavy, solid 1.75 l Electrolux, bought in store. Only replaced it about 4 years ago with a store-bought 1.7 l Seagull stainless steel one as it was a bit lighter and a faster boil. The Seagull died a couple of weeks ago so brought the Electrolux out of retirement. Dismantled the Seagull the other day and couldn't find owt wrong with it. Put it back together and it works again so it's back in use, Electrolux retired again.

The cheaper brands like Otto and Tefal tend to have a shorter lifespan IMHO. Also think that it's important to buy in-store if you are going with a quality, brand name purchase. The brand name stuff on lazada is highly likely to be a cheap Chinese copy these days.

The Jakarta administration has revealed it has buried more than 600 people according to the protocols for burial of people either suspected of or confirmed as having been infected with COVID-19.

Jakarta Parks and Forestry Agency head Suzi Marsitawati said 639 people had been buried following the special protocols as of Monday noon, with their bodies wrapped in plastic, put inside coffins wrapped in another layer of plastic and interred less than four hours after death.

The agency, however, did not have data on which of the 639 people were confirmed COVID-19 cases or only suspected of having the disease.

Indonesia has for total to date 3293 with 280 deaths (confirmed) Jakarta had 106 deaths (confirmed)

Some patients who recover from coronavirus develop very few antibodies, a new early-stage study suggests, raising questions over the development of a vaccine and whether people get lasting immunity.

Nearly a third of 175 patients studied produced low antibody levels. In 10 people, antibody levels were so low they could not be detected.

Which may explain why An Isan woman has had the virus twice

Coronavirus Australia: Three different strains of virus identified by Cambridge University researchers
Researchers have found three distinct strains of COVID-19, with two of them popping up in Australia including one closest to the “root of the outbreak”.

Could also explain second infections

For the first time today I saw the message getting through to he people in the village, I think the penny might be dropping. Until yesterday morning big groups were meeting outside the mom and pop shop on the corner, eating and drinking together pretty much carrying on as usual. But it would seen all is not lost, today one of the local farmers called by to give us some mangoes and to warn us to keep our distance from people because "there's a lot of that virus about". Let's hope they're beginning to realise.

This is the trend graph version for Asian countries, although strictly speaking some are not in Asia

Thailand is just below Indonesia (but Thailand name doesn't show). Click and it will show

Opp's the versions changed when loaded, nevertheless just go to the top right corner and click on Asia
That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.

One of the interesting experiments seems to be Netherlands and Sweden, both countries with quite small populations. They both announced the strategy of 'mass exposure' ton the basis that let nature take it's course and not self isolate. Both have huge infection rates and trending upwards, based on population both the infection rate and the death rate is very high. In both cases, legislation is quite weak and no mandatory isolation. It looks like that strategy is not working well.
