Tanita Tara Beach
Tanita Tara Beach
I was told about this place yesterday & it is supposed to be very good.
I will go next week & report back.
It will probably quite full at weekends & Monday is a Public holiday.
The photos look very nice.
Has anybody been before?.
It is about 6 km up the KutChap road from the ring-road.

Any hotels or guesthouses, and restaurants, in the vicinity?

I was born with nothing and still have most of it left
Re: Tanita Tara Beach
Probably "Gallery Guest House" closest to their lane runs fom the ring road to the Kutchap road.
Re: Tanita Tara Beach
I have been several times to "The beach'.
Its great if you have kids as theres a swimming pool as well (lifejackets supplied if req.)
For the grown up (that excludes me!) theres a (inexpensive) restaurant with bar but mostly its about lounging around on the sand under the covered umbrellas (and they will bring the food to you) The 'sea' is actually a lake and whilst many people paddle and swim in it, not sure I would.
A good place to waste a few hours and the closest thing to a beach you are going to get round here

is this the new name for this one ? viewtopic.php?f=2&t=36263
Re: Tanita Tara Beach
It doesn't look like it. I have never been to the water world in your link, but from the photographs, its certainly not the same place. The 'Beach' does not have inflatables or dozens of thatched salas like in the water world pictures and most certainly does not charge to enter
Re: Tanita Tara Beach
Just spent almost 4 hours at the beach and the kids had a blast. Small water slide, small pool, bigger water slide, lake, deck, snorkeling, etc.. The food is quite good as well. Ordered up 8 dishes plus khao pat for the kids and rice for the grown ups and the whole lot was only about 1300 baht. Probably only about half a dozen other groups there when we pulled out ahead of darkening skies at 2:30 PM. They've got fishing as well for 100 baht a go. Free wi-fi.
