Learn To Scroll Saw!

Post by Greg Ledder » September 17, 2015, 8:06 am

Eh up! :D

I've been a scroll saw addict for over twenty years. It is a fascinating, enjoyable and rewarding hobby that I'm sure many of you would really enjoy too!

It is relatively quick & easy to learn to make simple gift items - the more complicated stuff comes with time & practice.

Anyone interested in learning, has time on their hands and fancies a day out just get in touch.

We are located at "Noi's Kitchen" (Our home & my wife's restaurant) on the road between NogBua and Non Sang, next to Khanoi primary school.

Have attached some pics of items I have made in the past just to give you some idea.

Ta,

Greg :)

Hi Russ,

Thanks for your kind comments - nothing quite like working with wood is there?

Greg :)

Learn To Scroll Saw!

Hi Greg,

What beautiful things you made! I'm truly awed.

Personally, I've been trying my hands on woodworking for the past 3 months.

It was disastrous...lol, and all I had managed to accomplish was 2 small vertical wall planters with all the angles wrong.

I still can't muster using the tools, especially the sander. Actually what got me started was a visit to a friend's house in Hua Hin, sprinkled with beautiful garden pallet furnitures.

Thinking pallets were the same here as in Europe, I bought a load of them only to discover that most were thrash.

Nonetheless, I ordered 500 pcs of 110cm treated pine pallet planks from Korat.

Persevered and pursued my hobby with the abovementioned planters complete and a rubble of damages...hahaha.

Thus been laying off woodwork out of frustration just before Christmas hitherto. Then chanced upon this topic :)

Hope your offer still stands? I would be most happy to visit for some tutelage and pointers.

Not to mention, your Scroll Saw works were nothing but beautiful art work!

Do send me a PM, if you still welcome and eager student. My wife and I, would make the drive over.

Cheers
