Water trucks home delivery service
I have seen water trucks. They come to homes roll out a fat hose into house and fill up a water tank. Anyone using this service? What's it cost? Would prefer to disconnect permanently from water utility PWA.

We paid 400 baht each time in 2013, when there wasn`t any village water for around 3 months.

Just about all those water trucks advertise their phone number on the truck. Call or have someone call for a quote.

There as has been said many that offer the service, but disconnecting permanently is not a good option, where water is concerned the more ways you can get it the better for you and your household.

Have used a "truck refill" twice in the past, and both times (different companys) the water was so chlorinated that you could smell it when you had a shower. Not sure what the effect would be if you watered fruit/veg plants with this stuff for any period of time

Maybe a lot of chlorination is a good idea. I have seen the same trucks pumping out septic tanks, then transporting water.

As an afterthought, if you go down to Non prajak and speak to the trucks filling up at the water Depot there, I am sure their water will not be so chorinated, find one that delivers to your area and deal with him himself. A further thought is that if you have enough tanks then you can take his whole load, that cuts down cost as well.

There is not enough chlorine in Thailand to clean such a truck. Can't believe this being done even here in Thailand.glalt wrote:Maybe a lot of chlorination is a good idea. I have seen the same trucks pumping out septic tanks, then transporting water.

Not as long as my arse is still below my head would I buy water from one of these "home delivery trucks/transports", who knows where it comes from or where their dodgy transport system has been prior to your contact! :-&

Recent photo of the Dero, just prior to taking delivery of 20,000 litres of well chlorinated water from a blue delivery truck.
