Thank you, called Forte they have but only sell. Yes we can buy (already researched other suppliers) BUT what's the point when it will be short/medium term and having to try to flog it after use?

Re: Medical Equip. Rental
if you buy at least you have the bed BD.
So you loose abit on resale..
Me, I would prefer a new bed that I know no one has died in before. its not absolute, but I prefer.

Re: Medical Equip. Rental
When the FiL was on his last legs a few years back, we needed a comfortable bed so I bought one at Index. We also bought a custom-made palliative mattress that was made by a mom 'n' pop business in Nong Sai. We were told they were the experts in these sort of mattresses (for those with ulcerative, terminal cancer). The mattress, although just a single-bed size weighed a ton and needed four people to wrestle it in and out of the pickup, up the stairs and onto the bed in the lounge.
FiL ultimately expired and I have no clue where the special mattress went. I recall it being surprisingly thin and hard so no use for anything else. The Index bed frame languished in storage until six months ago when I cleaned it up, bought a new regular mattress and installed it in the kids bedroom.

Thank guys for the input:-
Yes we have been to the Ban Dung hospital, they can offer the services of a palliative care nurse at 1500 Baht a day but no equipment.Has anyone thought about asking at the main Government Hospitals in their area, just a thought /
Specifically looking for a massaging mattress (inflated with a pulsating pump) similar to the one my Mum had in her last days, the bed needs to by flexible, raise and lower back rest, legs etc.We were told they were the experts in these sort of mattresses
I see there is one in Khon Kaen, will try to contact themHere is isit of companies it appears in Thailand
I don't think the guy (he is a Farang) would care just going by the flee bag 400 baht hotels he preferred to stay in when away. And a bed worth 40 to 50K Baht is not going to be easy to sell 2nd hand.Me, I would prefer a new bed that I know no one has died in before

Had a bit of a win. The maintenance dept. at the Ban Dung hospital had some old mechanically adjustable beds in an old store room one of which their technicians fixed up for us and now on free loan. Matterace is not great but it's a start.
