Where to buy an electric bicyle?

Hi folks,

Hopefully they are getting more popular in the future to reduce the polution in the city....
But where to buy an electric bicyle? And what about their knowlegde and after-sales, service?

Several months ago I saw a few for sale at the bike store on the corner of the 5-way intersection at grid N-12. I occasionally see someone riding one in the downtown area as well. If the bike store doesn't have any, ask them where....I'm sure they'll know. Peter, the owner, speaks excellent English.

Try China. Or put a Honda wave in gear and keep your finger on the electric start button.

I saw some electric bikes/scooters in a bicycle shop in Bangkok last year.

In Holland the electric scooters are becomeing more popular now, so I wonder why those aren't for sale yet in regular scooter/motorcycle shops in Thailand.

I also see electric cars now on the road in Holland on a dayly basis, and we have speed charge stations now to charge electric cars.

I hope this will be introduced in Thailand as well soon.

After following this thread for electric bikes, did look at this bike shop but they only had bikes with battery's and expensive. Was at the night market and we saw a flang ride away on a electric bike.. So went on-line to look and found

Brought one for the wife, she loves it just for popping down to the market and going to see family.

Forgot to say that you do not need a licence or insurance or a helmet as it is a bike. We do have a helmet.
