Yeah Jon they certainly are going well, especially since the piles were only delivered 4th April prior to the break for
water fights.

Formwork for the beams under the raised concrete slab well underway.
Concrete slab seen is just a thin slab, as I didn't want to have dirt under the house

monkeyman,
Yes they are a good lot and always on the job.
Still 2 teams and the pool team which has the older guys go real hard especially in these hot conditions.
Got tomorrow off after pouring the base of the pool today, go home and have a day with the families and have a drink I hope.

5 trucks today

So far so good, each phase of the project has been quoted and still within quotes. \:D/
After the slab is placed the steel wall frames , roof trusses will arrive. Colorbond roofing to follow. Fairly new product called thermotech roofing sheets. Colour chosen is "surfmist" ......Thermotech reflects heat more efficiently compared to normal sheeting.
Not sure anything could improve things with todays temperature. Feels like 42 and wish it felt like 35. :D

Stardate 12062015

Well the beams are 100% complete and the walls of the pool are being poured today.
Have ordered the prefabed concrete floor sections and will be delivered soon enough. Placed on the beams and then a layer of leveled concrete for the finished floor.
Steel wall frames, roof trusses and roofing sheets ordered and delivered in a couple of weeks. The builder subcontractor dropped in and payed a visit last week on his way back from laos where he has a couple of projects and indicated that it will take him 15 to 20 days to have it all erected and roof on.
So far so good for the schedule and good to be out of the ground with the rain coming more frequently.

Stardate 24062015

Has been a quick 11 weeks so far.
Have just waited for the concrete to cure and now the floor plates are arriving and being paced on the raised beams.
The plates are different lengths to suit the room floor plan.. Once the plates are tied down then a 50 mm concrete floor is poured to provide the flat surface for the pre made bluscope steel wall frames and roof trusses to be erected, then the roof placed.
Penetrations for all services, electric, waste water/sewer and incoming water will be cut in and ready to be installed from under and in the void under the house.

Able to get up on the deck for photos today safely with my shagger's back problems.
Some photos of the floor panel layout
Boys are going well, have to wait for a crane to lift the 5 mtr x 500 wide panels into most of the vacant spaces.

Yes it is going well and only one hiccup to date, look at the photo of the stairs going down into what Grievous calls the dungeon and guess what, it is wide enough and high enough for a short fat bast.rd like me, but tall handsome men will have a headache if they don't duck. Have to cut out the beam and replace it with a smaller steel beam. Stairs were one step to far in. No problems.
Next is the floor slab to poured next week, then the delivery of frames so hope the frames and roof are complete end July.
Things go so well with me here or not, so just took another Job up China and leave again soon. Will have to update from abroad.
