There are 2 rooms down there, 1 for the pool pumps and filters, 2nd for watching large screen TV/ loud music system and drinking. Wouldn't want to upset the neighbor's, that's just my foreigner side coming out . Unfortunately, being Thailand, I am sure some karaoke will happen.
My original thinking was a safe haven room for any trouble, it will be secure.

But there is enough room for a medieval type wall shackle system and you can swing a cat of nine tails for those so inclined. Sound proof so you can scream as loud as you like.

Well work is still progressing even though I am away suffering the allah forsaken cold weather of Sydney town. Fair dinkum I will not be coming home to this cold in the near future and especially to retire.
Give me the "when is it going to cool down" city if Udon Thani.

Slab including all outside deck areas has been poured, this consisted of a 50 mm thick preformed slab and then mesh layed for a top coat of another 50 mm concrete to provide a nice level floor ready for the wall frame and roof trusses and then the granite tiling later.
Not sure when I will be back for an inspection.

Delivery of the steel house frame and roof trusses has commenced, continue for another few deliveries, had to be broken down to smaller trucks for access to my land, now have 2 guys to mark out concrete deck (first photo) and sort and erect. Main bluscope contractor crew arrive soon from another project.
I am told it has been raining a bit in Nong Samrong so it is slowing works.
Hope by the time I leave Australia tomorrow and get settled in my new work project in China things will be up and running. Hoping for 3 or 4 weeks for the roof to be in place.
Other works are continuing with preparation for pool tiling.
Now have the kitchen 3D modeled, PVC steel windows ordered, all floor and outside deck area tiles ordered. Sparky looking at my requirements, plumber in place, termite guy in place, And the missus helping to project manage. :-"

One thing OT has often wondered is why raise a new house off the ground? Traditionaly I should think it was to avoid the flood waters in your living room.

Just an individual choice, I want access to all services for any future works and maintenance. My design was not complete in my head for where I wanted penetrations to drainage etc. it is high enough to also have the A/C units under the house and out of harms way,
I will be old one day and also needed to keep stair access to a minimum. Hence a single story with the 1 lower room. Can also always crawl up and out of the underground entertainment if the red wine catches me by surprise. In lieu of falling down the stairs. :-"

Might pay to give a thought to a couple of different types of detectors if you plan to "live" in those underfloor areas.
Such as smoke and gas detectors would be my first thought.
Also perhaps some type of forced ventilation system.
Especially given the new breed of RAC's run on a variant of LPG at around 400-600psi.

I will have ventilation in both the filter pump room and entertainment room and also plenty of windows that open, but will look at a detector or warning device down below. Don't want to walk into a dangerous environment. Most of those dangerous gases like CO go down.

In between showers the frames are being fabricated, erected and bolted into the concrete floor.
Front of house frames are in and the side has started as in photos.
Plenty of glass with big doors and windows in my design can be seen.
Work should progress rapidly with wall frames and then with the roof trusses and sheeting arriving next shipment.

Have our design of the kitchen in 3D all but done by the supplier.
Just some detail to complete with the type of appliances used and which wall tiling and stainless steel splash backing in different places.
Plenty of large windows and doors for an open feeling and looking out to the pool deck.
Got the wine fridge in though.
Kitchen is 5mtr x 5 mtr

All my old aussie appliances went with the divorce property settlement. New life new appliances.

Will run a small line through the cupboards from the water filter to the fridge. May have to run it adjacent to the gas line for the cooktop.

On your wall cupboards I would take them all the way to the ceiling
Even if it is just finished with a false wall

Had to do that here as the top of the cupboards never got cleaned and there was nearly a garden growing after 2 years

Samsung fridges with ice and water outlets have their own 1 micron filters inside. Simple screw in and out.

Well just shy of 4 months now and things have certainly progressed. Small delays for weather. Has been a smooth ride sp far and with me being away on work assignemnts it has been a less stressful time for the lady of the house.
Following shots are the completion of wall frames and now getting the roof trusses together on the ground ready for the final assault when the larger roofing crew arrives soon, to install the roof trusses and the large amount of Bluscopesteel thermotech roof sheeting. Maybe 2 to 3 weeks for the roof. That will make a dry undercover area for the plumber , electrician. tilers and wall placement people for both outer and inner walls. Will take a deep breath and step back once the roof is on the then check the final detail of fit out in my head so that it goes to plan.

Minimal guttering, will eventually have some around the pool and deck area
None elsewhere.
I have tried to put some thought into it as it is a large surface area roof and I have designed a drainage system around the house for storm water from the roof to go via surface spoon type drains on both side concrete walkways. They will eventually transfer into underground piping to a 10,000 ltr underground DOS tank. Once full there will be a manual 3 way type valve to drain any excess overflow via another underground pipe out to a concrete culvert now being installed by the govt for the new road around the water resources lake expansion, at the back of the property. Filter systems to stop debris will be in place. The valve will allow water to by-pass the tank in the normal position and once significant rain has fallen and a lot of small dirt particles have gone past I can turn the valve to fill the tank.

Sorry Noosard missed your post. It is a good point and will look later. Unfortunately my ceilings are slightly higher at a full 3 meters. Have had to extend the exhaust hood already. Will look at retro fit and if it makes the cupboards look out of place by extending up.

Noosard is dead right, make a gypsum bulk head and delete the void above your o'head cabinets.
