Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
This is the most informative and encouraging information that I have seen on Covid-19, and it comes from a medical doctor who is on the front lines of the epidemic at Cornell Medical Center in New York. Watch just the first 23 minutes and you will feel liberated knowing that there are certain precautions that you can take that ensure that you will have a 99% chance of NOT getting the virus.

Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Silver lining... From Udon, reading the foreign press ( especially British) i can see that Covid-19 has created a huge << we love, we protect the NHS >> momentum of pride and love for the NHS, millions have joined the volunteer forces to feed, help, support the NHS staff from, cleaners to ICU specialists. In face of a major challenger the British People have come together, united for the good of the Country.

Totally agree about China . If they refuse to help , then the rest of the world should put an embargo on them till at least they clean their act up .
This is down to then , not letting the W H O , their citizens and the rest of the world know until it was too late .
It had already spread far and wide by the time they admitted it , and by trying to silence the first doctor who discovered it , they showed total disregard for anyone or anything that might of effected their economy .
I think i caught a mild dose of this on a flight from Heathrow to Muscat which was of Asians on !st of January . An Indian gentleman sat the other side of the aisle did not stop coughing for the whole flight .
I was fine for 2 days , then i get an irritating dry cough , the next night i was really bad , could not stop coughing constantly , and sleep was impossible .
The next night i coughed myself awake and because of the coughing could not get any air into my lungs . Now i was getting a little worried . Never experienced anything like it .
Constant dry cough , vomiting , although only once , headaches on and of for a week , shortness of breath , aching all over , hot and cold shivers , no energy for week , sore throat . While the cough lasted two weeks , the other symptons subsided after five to seven days .
I honestly though i just had a bad case of the flu . Maybe i did , who knows ,but if corona is like this , you do not want to catch it . seriously you dont .

Hi Saint
Very interesting. Appreciate hearing the exact nature of the symptoms (assuming it was the Covid 19)
Did you every get tested after the event? or was it to late to identify whether you had Covid 19 or not
Three weeks ago I got something. Whatever I had, it started with a sore throat for 4 days, a slight cough for one night (not constant but enough to wake me up), felt a bit clammy but no fever, a whiteish tongue with a bad taste in my mouth for 3 days (actually no taste buds working when it came to food) and a headache at the same time. Also felt lethargic feeling for a few days.
But no Fever, no Shivering, no Vomiting and more importantly no shortness of Breath?

Thailand has 143 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases since the outbreak began to 1,388, the Centre for Covid-19 Administration said on Sunday.
Taweesin Wisanuyothin, the spokesman for the centre and the Public Health Ministry, said the country also recorded one new fatality, bringing the total number of deaths to seven.
The latest victim was a 68-year-old man from Nonthaburi who had attended a crowded boxing match at Lumpini Boxing Stadium where there had been a cluster of infections, Dr Taweesin said.
The match was held at the army-run stadium on March 6. About 2,500 people attended the event that day.
The number of new cases was a significant jump from the 109 recorded on Saturday.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who chairs the centre, was in talks with other officials at Government House to discuss additional measures as the number of new infections and deaths escalated.
The government on Saturday said the increasing number of infections was due to people failing to practise social distancing.
Twenty-two revellers at a drug party in Chiang Rai were arrested on Saturday for gathering in defiance of the nationwide Emergency Decree.

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
meanwhile in India they announce a 21 day lock down and are shocked when 90,000 people crammed into a Delhi bus terminal ....... they needed an extra 2000 buses to clear the crowd
Perhaps India are trying Domonic Cummin's failed plan?
given that India has tens of millions of people working away from their home towns (Thailand x 100+) and over 80% of the population are working on a daily work = pay basis Its hardly surprising that millions wanted to walk/bus hundreds of miles home to where there was food

Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
You are correct Pals. it appears Vince & I posted contemporaneously.
Thanks to both He and you for your help.
Vinces'' post of 28 March might just prove more helpful in my obtaining the information I am after, and for which I have searched extensively, without success.
I also 100% support the suggestion made by Vince, in his post of 29 March; save that I would suggest the use of "FACTUAL" in lieu of 'important'
Also that Paul & staff do indeed introduce, and take full control for the allowence/disallowence posts appearing in an official Udonmap thread, (i.e. " UDONMAP COVID-19 FACTUAL INFORMATION"). Also, as suggested by another member. such thread to be maintained at the top of the latest posts Forum list. Obviously a challenging deal of work to collate and include previously posted posts which qualify for this thread; the decision as to whether or not this topic is deserving of such extra effort obviously would be a matter for the decision of Udonmap's Proprietorship. Perhaps seeking the assistance of a couple of respected intelligent members especially to moderate such a thread, might be one avenue which could be considered?
It seems logical to me that, following upon the above, ALL OTHER POSTS, in anyway relating to the topic of the Coronavirus be restricted to ONE SINGLE THREAD, instead of the ever proliferating threads currently appearing on the Forum.
Just a couple of my thoughts, to be added to the many dozens, appearing in the many current threads appearing on this Forum.

Someone's about to become a millionaire overnight due to market forcessometimewoodworker wrote: ↑March 29, 2020, 11:22 amPlease explain in detail what responsibilities you feel China has, apart from humanitarian assistance and that is totally voluntary.
A moral one
Why should China have anything to do with other countries not taking things seriously enough soon enough.
I could argue the same about the local authorities of Wuhan and Hubei.
China is producing PPE and medical supplies at a vast rate and increasing daily.
Sorry for late reply I'm trying to keep the boy Happy. Once this is over the blame game can start which will keep the internet on overdrive.

Is that the same "market forces" that allow companies to profiteer to the tune of $20,000 per ventilator?

Life in the village carries on as usual, we’ve had someone come back from Bangkok, no isolation and everyone is sitting around together as they always have, when it does hit, if it hasn’t already.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Very sad news from Spain, this isn’t a third world country, this is a purportedly rich western country making these decisions.

Its beginning to look like the UK Lockdown might be in place until June if the experts get their way.

Extract from Bloomberg: The country had 589 confirmed cases of coronavirus at that point and four people had died. Some 120,000 people joined the event in Madrid that day (08 March 2020) including several ministers and Sanchez’s wife. (Begona Gomez).
Since then, Gomez has tested positive along with Equality Minister Irene Montero and Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo, who is 62 and has been hospitalized since Sunday. By the next day, the number of confirmed cases had doubled and Sanchez and Spain were swept up in a spiraling, deadly contagion as the virus ran out of control. He imposed a lockdown less than a week later.
How F..kn stupid are they It's not as though they couldn't have deferred the march. It's not that important
