Well here's a shocker errmmmmm not! The Italians, Spanish and Greeks have been begging for more assistance particularly with PPE. Odd that the Northern more equal than others states seem to be doing okay. How long will the less equal member states tolerate this?

Prayuth Phetchakhun, deputy spokesman of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), said prosecutors have indicted a total of 623 people for violating the decree.

A court in Ayutthaya sentenced violators to 2-4 months in jail for illegal gatherings while a court in Pathum Thani handed down a 15-day jail term to one violator, he said.

He added that most violators are those who defied the curfew banning people leaving home from 10pm to 4am. Most were aged between 20-35, he said.

Encouraging article about COVID-19 testing in Thailand:

- Only 70,000 tests conducted so far but they are looking to ramp up.

Indonesia's capital Jakarta has launched a special police unit to guard the burials of coronavirus victims over concerns that scared residents could try to block funerals, the authorities said on Monday (April 6).

The move comes days after angry mobs in several cities on Sulawesi island and in Central Java blocked streets to prevent ambulances from transporting victims of the deadly illness to local cemeteries.

This cycle will be needed everyday

Italians, Spanish, Greeks begging or assistance

Shouldnt that read Italians, Spanish Greeks & BRITS after they requested the Billion 50 GBP bail out package from EU?

I've not seen a request for £50 billion bailout package but as we are paying into the EU until 2021 shouldn't we also be entitled to request such a package until then?

The government on Saturday banned private hospitals from charging coronavirus patients for their treatments.

The Department of Health Service Support also said the bills for foreigners treated for the coronavirus infection will be covered by their own health insurance policies.

This was reported in the Bangkok Post.
Get your facts right.
Private hospitals can not charge for treating Corona Virus cases foreigners or Thais.
They will be compensated by the government at rates set by Govt.
IF and I repeat IF a foreigner has Personal Health Insurance then the insurance will charged.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

So show the article here and the translation as obviously you can read Thai.
Personally I would believe what is printed in Bangkok Post.

Looks like they got blindsided last Tuesday? A comment "One Laotian woman said she didn't expect to see many people but needed to renew her visa to avoid 500 baht daily fines. She said she went to the closed border at Nong Khai and was redirected to Udon" suggests that she was either unaware that the border was closed and NK Immigration couldn't handle it? I guess it depends on whatever visa or permit to stay she had of course.

We have had recent reports here of it being quite busy but still orderly.

I don't know if this is posted elsewhere but it could be some good news, Covid 19 doesn't hide itself as well as other viruses which might make it easier to protect ourselves from it.

Coronavirus: Vaccine hopes boosted as scientists find virus has 'low shielding'

Can not see what the good news is.
It is clearly stated in the article it is at least 1 year away

He said it was "a very encouraging message for vaccine development", although any such product is still widely considered to be at least a year away.

This is indeed good news. Vince is dead right. A few viruses like the STD virus Herpes hide in nerve cells. You could do a blood test and not detect them as they are no longer in the blood, you can detect their antibodies, but not the virus themselves. that is why there is no cure for Herpes.

If Corona 19 is in the body, it is able to be attacked directly.

Very, very, very good news
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.
