Do testicles make men more vulnerable to coronavirus? Study suggests testes harbour Covid-19 giving virus sanctuary from immune system

Clickbait bullshiit, as you would expect from the Mail.
There is no evidence in the article that links the testicles to the virus - just the opposite, as later on in the same article, several experts discount such a link.

Looks like it's going to be awhile ....
Flights back to normal by Oct 2021, says AOT
Airports of Thailand (AOT) expects the volume of flights to return to normal by October 2021, AOT president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn announced on Thursday (April 23).
AOT’s management team forecasts that in fiscal year 2020 (October 2019 to September 2020) Thai airports will see about 493,800 flights and about 66.58 million passengers. “Total flights and passengers will drop by 44.9 per cent and 53.1 per cent, respectively, due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” Nitinai said. “The forecast was made by considering that recovery of the aviation business is dependent on the recovery of destination countries. Meanwhile, Thailand’s important destination countries are countries in the Asia-Pacific region which account for over 80 per cent of our travel.”
He expects domestic flights to recover before international services, since the latter are dependent on countries’ moves to contain the spread of Covid-19 and how long it takes to develop antiviral drugs or vaccines. “If the Covid-19 situation is brought under control in countries worldwide, the economy in Thailand and other major countries will recover, while traffic volume will return to normal in October 2021,” he said.
Meanwhile, the AOT board had resolved to establish a limited company to manage the Perishable Premium Lane (PPL) project to build a certification hub for agricultural products, added Nitinai. “AOT will hold 49 per cent of the shares, while the private enterprise with expertise in the field will hold 51 per cent,” he said. "The project would increase flexibility in the management of Thai agricultural products to meet international standards."
He added that the PPL lane would inspect and prepare agricultural products in an area separate from the cargo terminal. “This is like providing a business-class service for products, with experts taking care of products in the PPL lane before delivering them to the cargo terminal,” he added.“We expect the limited company to be registered in June and begin operating in November this year.”

According to the Bangkok Post there are around 10,000 tourists stranded in the 3 islands off Surat Thani.
Approx 5,700 in Koh Samui, 3,300 in Koh Phangan and 1,000 in Koh Tao.
With repatriation flights at a minimum the immediate future looks tough for them.

Good to know, but also that it is at least 6 to 9 months away from becoming available.vincemunday wrote: ↑April 24, 2020, 7:08 amUK starts human testing of the Covid vaccine.

This is the safety study (there is usually a small then larger one but they may have been able to compress that into 1) then there is the efficacy study and only then will it be released
Something rather more worrying

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
New York State Governor Cuomo said that preliminary findings from an antibody study conducted on 3,000 people at grocery stores across New York State found a 13.9% had coronavirus antibodies, suggesting a 13.9% actual infection rate statewide (21.2% in New York City), which translates to an estimate of about 2,700,000 actual cases in New York State (10 times more than the about 270,000 cases that have been detected and reported officially). Governor Cuomo acknowledged that the official count reported by New York State (which still is not including probable deaths as recommended by the new CDC guidelines) of about 15,500 deaths is "not accurate" as it doesn't account for stay at home deaths. Based on Worldometer's count (which includes probable deaths reported by New York City) of about 21,000 deaths and the 2,700,000 case estimate from the new antibody study, the actual case fatality rate in New York State could be at around 0.78% [source]
If this is close to true New York will get herd immunity way before any vaccine

CORONAVIRUS ASIAThailand names 5 more ASEAN countries as ‘high risk’, 4 are border nations
Myanmar infected 132
Lao infected 19
Cambodia infected 122
Indonesia infected 7775
Malayasia infected 5603
Kind of strange Myanmar Lao and Cambodia are in this list as hardly any cases at all and no growth
Unless thai gov knows they are all telling porkies

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
Despite all the froth about the Thai government hiding their own numbers and not being very good at crisis management, they recognize those three neighboring countries with the totally unsubstantiated numbers not only have lamentable public health care systems but also have heavily controlled media. Not exactly like looking in the mirror but no need to call anyone a liar, especially when Thailand is heavily dependent on all three nations for their labor supply.noosard wrote: ↑April 24, 2020, 9:57 amCORONAVIRUS ASIAThailand names 5 more ASEAN countries as ‘high risk’, 4 are border nations

Local Countries who are probably giving less than complete information
Possibly due to restrictions on testing availability, access to parts of the country, or media control
Myanmar infected 132
Lao infected 19
Cambodia infected 122
Thailand infected 2,839
Of course no country is actually reporting the real numbers, though some are much closer, South Korea, UAE, Iceland, Faeroe islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar etc.

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
Few times i have looked at the daily covid-infection reports to see where were the infection centres? Who was getting infected, cured ? I have noticed that despite the fact that Thailand has about 2 million migrant workers and another million of illegal, not a single migrant worker appears on the people infected with covid. Almost every day i see army personnel transport trucks, the trucks with 2 long benches where 10-12 soldiers sit, and yet no soldier has made it to the list of infected. How about the army people who attended the Lumpini boxing match ? For sure Thailand is under-testing , under-reporting hoping to be declared covid-free asap so the tourism industry can restart
