Try imagining a single man and woman being the start of all humanity, over time the progeny changes, so we have different races Caucasian. Asian, African etc. All are humans.

The same with virus, they evolve (we use the term mutation). HIV for instance can mutate in just 24 hours. So Covid traveled, in some cases it mutated and that mutation spread, then traveled as a new strain to infect a new country.

in the USA, the strain that landed on the west coast came from China, on the east coast it came from Europe. In some countries, multiple strains are found in the same location. This can present problems building a vaccine if a mutation is sufficiently different for the strain targeted, it has the potential of not being susceptible to a vaccine designed from a different strain.

A patient diagnosed with pneumonia near Paris on 27 December actually had the coronavirus, his doctor has said.

This news means the virus may have arrived in France almost a month earlier than previously thought.

Until now, the country's first three cases of coronavirus were confirmed on 24 January.

Now if this is true that will make things a lot more difficult as to origin

It doesn't need a month. I understand that someone will test positive a matter of days after catching it.

Arguably anyone (already infected) who traveled to France in the first week of December 2019, could have passed it onto the guy to tested 24 Dec 2019, and most likely there were were plenty of traveler's commuting between China and France at that time.

What a croc.
Another new phrase and tool being used by the power brokers and nose led politicians to try and control the masses.
Once they the procrastinators have the guts to say, off you go kids back to your life. Then it is just back to normal.
People around the world will have had enough very soon if decisions aren’t made and be tired of all the procrastinating and just do their old thing.
The normal normal.

Yes this phrase .. THE NEW NORMAL ..

Expect it to mean lots more regulation from the governments worldwide .. which in turn controls the majority of the population . Perfect for those around the world seeking to keep a tight grip on power whilst putting a stop to any up risings of young progressive factions ..ie REVOLUTION !!

Agree , however it does keep ones mind focused to Social distancing and keeping your personal hygiene up, including wearing of masks and washing of hands . Many will ignore those SIMPLE actions, which could be detrimental to them .

My comment was meant to not only for now and the near future KP .. the distant future and beyond , using C19 as a platform certain regulations n controls initially brought in the counteract the spread of the virus will never be totally lifted, im not referring to masks n hand washing more so social media , gatherings , travel restrictions and sadly visas for aliens..
Big brother on steroids style will certainly make it difficult for any new politically minded groups forming gathering pace and support and challenge for change n power. !!
