Awww Alex you know we love you Jockynese really, just a bit of banter but keeping wee Jimmy and her crew North of the border does appeal.AlexO wrote: ↑July 25, 2020, 7:21 amBy himself Pe Ba. Any country allows people like Clinton and Biden run aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer either to be honest, it's quite hilarious how a simpleton like you acts as if he's some kind of pundit...
If you need any help with the big words ask Tam.

Re: BritishPM
Once again, those were not my words (citation given) but is "another election" truly the best pro-Johnson argument you can come up with? Is Boris Johnson delivering on anything he has promised yet? On his away day to the safe, less inhabited bits of Scotland, the word on the street was Brexit on WTO rules. Did the Tories subject the British electorate to almost four years of political torture to ultimately capitulate anyway?AlexO wrote: ↑July 24, 2020, 1:54 pmSo we should have had another General Election to find another Government who would have done things differently at the start of the Pandemic?? Elected in December with the slogan of “Get Brexit Done”, he did not pay covid-19 enough attention. Ministers were chosen on ideological grounds; talented candidates with the wrong views were left out in the cold. Mr Johnson got the top job because he is a brilliant campaigner and a charismatic entertainer with whom the Conservative Party fell in love. Beating the coronavirus calls for attention to detail, consistency and implementation, but they are not his forte."

His faux persona of bonhommie and aura of "hail fellow well met" has been exposed for the shallow and thankless self seeking that it is. He wanted to be PM and all the things that fall at the feet of former PM's. He just doesn't have much interest in actually being Prime Ministerial in the interim.
As for Starmer and the grooming gangs, didn't we royally pop that canard ages ago in the 'new labour leader' thread when vince, another Bojo ra-ra kid, brought it up and tried to sell it as fact?
Nobody has suggested Starmer or Labour would perform better. We are talking about those currently in government. The singularly most impressive new Tory chancellor will assuredly get a season's magic show in Vegas if he can keep pulling all those impressive and expensive rabbits out if his dispatch box... and manage to pay for them. But apart from Sunak, where's the rest of this stellar government? The Tory cabinet is largely MIA but I think they could deliver more cohesive and consistent crisis management than the current effort under Johnson and Cummings if only they were given the chance. Maybe they need to get Chris Grayling back in there at the epicenter of power?
Give a man enough rope though.

Cannot and will not disagree about your views of the "Simple Crofter" or his Boss the 'Shepherdess' (the socialist who owns properties all over the place and needs an armed police escort when she visits her constituency). I personally dislike (to the point of hatred) the anti English sentiment being encouraged by these halfwits who think that the Scots are the same as the Southern Irish who adore their independence from Great Britain but are more than willing to give it up and be dictated to by Merkel and Macron. (Well done to the Dutch PM for standing up and protecting his taxpayers last week) Unfortunately the SNP will continue to be seen as the spokespersons for Scotland due to the utter incompetence of the Scottish Labour Party and the age old parochial hatred of the Tories. Next indy vote will have the same result as 2014 though, a resounding NAW!!!.Drunk Monkey wrote: ↑July 25, 2020, 9:56 amOi get it right ... 3 half pints actually (of hong tong) .. the nuke em comment was a jest a joke i doubt Boris would waste a warhead North of the border the collateral damage to the stunning lake district just makes it a no no .. and tho not a bad idea twood cost way too much to add more height to the wall.AlexO wrote: ↑July 25, 2020, 7:21 amBy himself Pe Ba. Starting to agree with you on too many issues Paul. Might be needing a holiday.
But yes, just imagine being given the choice between Hilary or Donald as the best there is in the USA and then telling other Countries that they are incompetent.

Re: BritishPM
Well written and showing a level of eloquence provided by the Scottish education system before it was destroyed by the SNP. Just who can you honestly stand up and further protect on the subject of the grooming gangs. All come from predominantly Labour controlled regions/cities with a large Asian/Muslim populations. As for your distain for Boris, is it just the hatred of the left wing for anyone who has had a private (family paid for) education, Jeremy Corbyn also had private schooling. Boris said "Leave" Guess what we have left. Banging on about WTO trading when 80% of the World trades under these conditions is the same as banging on about chlorinated chicken and mobile phone roaming fee's, just pathetic arguments to keep people in the greatest PONZI scheme on the Planet (witness last weeks farce with Macron banging his fists, aka another European Dictator from the 1930's 40's.) Boris has been basically in charge since the UK rejection of the Marxist party from December last year. We have confirmed that the UK will no longer pay extortionate amounts of money to be allowed to trade at stupid prices that only subsidises some mainland EU farmers and manufacturers. We are going through an unprecedented World pandemic that while we are not the best, we are far from being the worst in handling the crisis, what more do you need and who could have done better. More power to the previous system, and their promotion of eloquence.
But obviously a huge fail on punctuation, and the lack of recognition of the importance of paragraphs.
Has the SNP picked up on that?
Re: BritishPM
What importance of paragraphs are you referring too. Do you really know what you are talking about? Come back with a sensible answer or just stay in your bed.jackspratt wrote: ↑July 25, 2020, 8:24 pmMore power to the previous system, and their promotion of eloquence.
