The document says 7 days quarantine for those vaccinated 14 days prior to "departure". My partner returns to Thailand 9 days after her second jab. I am guessing that the word "departure" means the date leaving the UK and, not departure from quarantine as this will make a difference for her. Dont suppose anyone knows for sure?

If she delays her return flight by 1 week, she will only need 7 days ASQ on arrival here.

Yeah, I know that. The point is that she will have had the 2 vaccines for 14 days by the time she is 5 days into quarantine so, could safely leave on the 7th day if that is what the word "departure" refers to. Having reviewed other sources, it is, as I suspected, "departure" from the UK so she will have to do the 10 days unless I change the date of the flight (impossible) or the date of the 2nd vaccine (unlikely).

Ah OK. So Sat was 2839 and it dropped to 2433 on Sunday. Since it flapped around the 500-mark for a few days last week before taking off, I don't see the drop as anything to write home about.

I looked at a Bangkok Post article that compared the 2nd wave (casino and foreign workers) with the current one (hiso shitheads) and it confirmed that this one appears more severe. While the kettle boiled, I did a quick and dirty math across all three waves and it looks even more grim.

Just had two Asian gentlemen, come pack to work, after catching Covid-19 and asked them about their experience and recover periods. Both were not vaccinated when they caught Covid-19. One 46 and one 52, as far as I know.

Mr. 52 from Philippines: Relatively mild - 2 days in Hospital under observation, after being diagnosed with mild Pneumonia. Slight breathing problem but only when Coughing. Coughing was sporadic (not continuous) over a 2 day period and he did not need Oxygen. Had a mild headache, but real no body pain. After his 14 days he feels pretty much OK. By the way, he is also a Diabetic, plus he Smokes and Drinks

Mr. 46 from Pakistan: Much more severe - 6 days in Hospital after being diagnosed with more significant Pneumonia, under observation and with regular Oxygen over some 4 days. More significant breathing problem and more constant coughing over 2 days. Lots of general upper chest body pain and tightness. After 14 days, he feels total flat and very lethargic, despite having been released by the Hospital Doctor. So sent him home for another 3 days. By the way, he is Not a Diabetic and he does not Smoke or Drink

I am aware that they are not identical twins.

The point of this post being, their doesn't seem to be any Rules with how one is affected, by this Covid-19 anymore
