No it won't. They were nabbed in quarantine. There's plenty of stories from people that have had both shots and either caught Covid or tested +ve more than 2 weeks after the last shot. There's some, admittedly elderly, that have died after getting their second shot but before the 14-day 'fully effective' date.

As KP says, the vaccination is primarily to reduce the severity of any infection on anyone vaccinated. It has never been asserted that it makes people any less infectious (which is why it is my opinion that the UK's clamor for foreign holidays this summer is premature and dangerous). Think flu shots: it didn't 100% stop everyone from catching it but it reduced the likelihood and the severity of it if you did.

It's possible to die from the virus after being fully vaccinated, but it's exceptionally rare. That's odd , vaccinated or not they still do quarantine . why on earth would they say they were vaccinated if they weren't ? Everything is a report ,so unless you know them personally saying nope is just an uninformed opinion. As said being vaccinated don't stop you catching or spreading. Once a country is fully vaccinated it won't go away ,just a lot more asymptomatic people ,which in turn means nobody will be able to travel a other country unless that country is fully vaccinated too. I doubt that will be viable either .

As I stated the argument put out by the Anti-vaxxers, is that as it will not stop Covid why bother. What is not PUT out in Large Capital letters is that Receiving the Vaccine will probably stop you dying from it and that folks is the only statistic I want to hear.
And Tam talking about the UK, I agree, any foreign holidays should not start until 2023 at the earliest, allow the rest of the world to catch up . When this fiasco started I penned in my Diary, thats buggered travel until m2023 and it looks like that was a good guess.

The wording 'recorded as being' should have been used instead of 'reported they were'. Otherwise, they may as well have used the word 'claimed' if they wanted to suggest that these six overseas travelers were lying on their declarations.

Thailand briefly dabbled with the reduced ASQ for vaccinated people just about the time the 3rd wave kicked off. They ignored the known impact of unregulated Songkran travel on infection in vain clutch at making the country look more appealing to tourists who frankly don't bloody exist.

It's in total lockdown with police and army patrolling the streets.
Over 30 infections found up to now....
