Re: Requirements to Motorcycle into Laos
I remember for some years back that you were NOT at all allowed to take a motorcycle into Lao.
I have no idea if this rule is still in force

Re: Requirements to Motorcycle into Laos
Good day,
When I entered Laos 3 days ago at the Friendship bridge in Nong Khai, the immigration officer asked for proof of vaccination. I showed them the Thai ministry of health certificate (3 vax + booster), the supervisor came to review it. The officer said that only fully vaccinated foreigners were allowed in. I don t know what fully vaccinated means in Laos, but I would assume it means 2 shots.
Have a safe pleasant trip.

Re: Requirements to Motorcycle into Laos
There is a youtuber by the name of 'Paddy Doyle' who is about to take his 155cc motorcycle into Laos via Nong Khai.
He was saying that the official rule is small bikes (less than 400cc I think, but please double check) are not allowed into Laos. However he found an agent who will help him get the bike in via Nong Khai crossing as part of an organised motorcycle tour.
For bike bikes it seems a lot easier but might be worth checking with an agent who offers this service.
Good luck.
