Until then winners are grinners and losers can go fight in the carpark. 8)
Or repeatedly bash their head on a brick wall.
This winning the series and then retaining the Ashes until you are defeated is just a bit too complicated for the boy to get his nut around. That's why they like soccer, it's a simple game for simple people.

There's a world championship happening in India right now, with 10 countries fighting it out for the title of 50 over champions.

A quick look at the results sees Australia doing well so far, along with India, South Africa and New Zealand.

The one name missing above is the whingey, whiny Poms, who are firmly entrenched at equal last on the table, having won only one of their 5 games.

The word from India is that the Lions management have been sighted pestering numerous travel agencies in Mumbai and Chennai, looking for seats for the team on early flights back to Blighty.

I'd rather celebrate them uppity Afghanistanis than waste time talking about the vanquished Englanders. The Taliban didn't shoot anyone for singing and dancing on the streets of Kabul in celebration of their second tournament upset.

Winning.

What a game between the Aussies and Kiwis yesterday. A runfest, almost 800 runs in a little under 100 overs. Was fun the watch and because the Kiwis are good blokes was not even too fussed about winning and losing. Great game.

Australia delivers final blow to England's dismal World Cup defence

Adam Zampa continues his remarkable resurgence following the spinner's poor start to the tournament, dismissing the dangerous Ben Stokes to kill off England's chances.

Well that's a shame.

I see Whiney Jonny was out first ball - but caught (not stumped) this time.

Just wondering how the Aussies feel about "whiney" Angelo Matthews

What a great, courageous incredible hit by Glenn Matthews in a double century win over Afghanistan. Oz were gone until he came to the crease. Under pain and cramps he did it, well done and also to Cummins who was just a runner for Glenn.

Incredible knock. I think Cummins got maybe a dozen runs in during that incredible stand?

Kudos to Afghanistan though who have had an amazing run. It's nice to see some spoilers getting their licks in against some of the traditional winners.

Australia 241 to get against the Indians to lift yet another 1 Day World Cup.

A superb bowling and fielding effort - lets hope the batsmen are equal to the task against a very good Indian bowling attack. [-o<

England, the mighty and outstanding proud home of cricket and motherland to Australia, can rejoice as one their outposts have won the cricket world cup over their lost jewel India.

After all I believe they originally organised the first present day format in 1975 and went on to win their first cup in 2019, after 11 other countries had won the cup, congratulations England, you started it.

England can be proud of their cup achievement and would be welcome on any ground, at any time, anywhere in the world.

I dont know what more Australia can do in the cricket world to help Englands head held high.

You must have missed the news, Sport - England actually won it.
England Win Cricket World Cup After ICC Uses Moral Countback Rule

Australia has been stripped of the 2024 ODI World Cup after a countback of moral victories determined that England were the real winners.

“Despite only winning three games and finishing below Afghanistan, clearly England were the best team in the comp. In every game, no matter what position they found themselves in, they managed to find a way to claim a moral victory, which is incredibly impressive” an ICC official said.......
