General Prawit's Watches

Post by Laan Yaa Mo » April 27, 2024, 6:47 pm

Don't expect any resolution to the ongoing saga over Prawit's watches any time soon. This case has been dragging on for years, and he is not the sort of person who gets charged over such a minor issue. Anyway, this is a nice reminder of one of the major and powerful figures in Thai politics.

The retired minister for "watches and all things corrupt" will remain above the law and hopefully never be seen "awake" in public again. What an embarrasment he is to Thai history.

The link appears to be corrupt but I get the message after seeing @ Asean Now news

One would not want to be unkind and suggest that the rumour Prawit gerrymandered the last election through his control of the Senate is true; however, the Thai media have reported it as so.

Thanks, Stan, for correcting the link.

Meanwhile, back on topic, the linked articles refer to the very recent reports that Prawit's latest declared assets of around THB 87 million, revealed by the NACC, includes luxury cars, real estate, land and a healthy bank account? But only one (1) watch.

It seems that the evidence in Prawit's case is going to be limited to a few eyes and is not for public viewing.
