Not much to think about, Alex - I saw the video, as did you (eventually).

I will leave the response to the other Aussies who have enough working brain cells to answer.
You unfortunately just watch what you want to believe then copy and paste.

I can understand your reluctance, in the face of clear evidence, Alex.

You weren't there, and didn't see it happen, so perhaps it didn't - despite what the video shows, and in the absence of any denials from the ADF and other authorities. :D

I would put it to you that your favoured source of accurate information is nothing but a biased, wholley dishonest evidence manipulating outlet. Just chasing outrageous headlines aimed at a minority of conspiracy addicts who just believe anything that suits their narrow minded views.
Please note, no smilies, hope your not offended.

The lefty ABC has been a waste of taxpayers' money for decades now. This particular doctoring of material just confirms that. These left wing ABC bully groups of so-called reporters and lying bastards have brought the reputation of individuals, and the ABC itself to a very low level. The ABC has some very good shows and radio programs and it's time to purge the misfits and cretins out to the wilderness. Those who still support them on this particular story are 100% blinkered and have been slowly indoctrinated to the far-left side of politics and have no hope of return. Or they have the same philosophy and happy to march along to the ABC left wing music sheet.
Its time Albo instructs that a full investigation take place.

A couple of pithy diatribes, one from someone who seems to live in what is Australia's most distrusted news site*, Sky News, and the other ...... who knows. :D

In the meantime:
In 2024, the public broadcasters continue to be the most highly trusted news brands, however the SBS (65%)
has just overtaken the ABC (64%) as the most trusted news outlet with the ABC falling 2 percentage points from 2023.

You virtually never name any sources Alex, so it is impossible to make an assessment of your judgement.

But you are quite happy to call out mine (sources and judgement).

Perhaps just perhaps I tend to read, absorb and think through my posts rather than just copy and paste. The other thing is I do not just ignore any sources that dont mirror my political mindset unlike 'some' who actually boast about not even trying to understand alternative viewpoints.

Let Alex have the last word?

Been there, done that.

Worth a watch, maybe a bit long for some but shows just how ABC (and others) can manipulate the video evidence easily.
Perhaps the trust in ABC (and others) will be a wee bit less hereafter.

jackspratt so, putting trust aside, you do not believe the ABC doctored video to suit their agenda to attack his credibility?
I see where you stand now. Thanks

jackspratt, ...... you do not believe the ABC doctored video to suit their agenda to attack his credibility?
Where did I say that, Barney?

I am happy to wait for the result of the investigation, rather than rely on the coverage by Sky or Murdoch.

If they have "doctored" something, they deserve a corporate kick in the arse, and the involved staff should be shown the door.

The coverage of Heston Russell has previously been criticized by Media Watch.

And individuals in ABC dont get hammered financially, its left to the tax payer to pick up compensation awards and legal fee's etc.
Pretty damned positive that they manipulated video and sound evidence dont you think.

So did the editing error happen before or after the ABC decided to defame the war hero.
An editing mistake!, They must have learned their deflection techniques from an expert.
