Re: Pattaya guy here thinkin of moving
So....you hate Pattaya and want to try Udon. I have a news flash for you. Udon is "exactly" like Pattaya, without the big shopping centers and good restaurants. But then if all you care about is the price of beer and girls, you will fit right in. You will find a lot of Pattaya transplants in Udon to...

Re: Falangs Invade Udon Thani
The explosion of farangs has caused me to move out. It wouldn't be so bad if they were well behaved, but they aren't. I never saw such a collection of misfits and derelicts in one place as I do in Udon. Too bad, 7 years ago it was a wonderful place to stay. Thai's would smile and and be happy to see...

Re: Kinnaree Restaurant
Bill wore out his welcome in the neighborhood. After he beat up his Thai g/f he left and hopefully will not return to the Kinaree or apartment complex. His drunken behavior left a bad taste in the mouth of many there.

Re: yamaha scooter dealer (best price)
If you are interested in saving some money, I have a Nouvo for sale. I bought it a year ago, but then was in the USA for 6 months of the past year, so has only 5000 km on it. 080-7609761 It is in like new condition. Could be a win-win for us.

Re: Lady gives birth in public toilets
It is sad thing to hear of such things regardless of where you live in the world. What is even sadder are you "sickos" who make light and joke about someones misfortune. In lieu of giving a helping hand, you chose to make wise cracks. No small wonder the locals are now looking at farangs with disdai...

Without a doubt Dieter provided us with some great meals. But his presence will be missed more than anything he had on the menu. Rest well old friend.

Re: Chiropractor
I found one in BKK some years ago. But beware. He was a farang and charged about 3 times what I normally pay here in the States. You might find an "accupressure" massage in Udon. I knew one when I lived there and he fixed me up in 2 visits. He lived out on the Kut Chap Road, but that is all I can re...

You best forget about "teaching" English until you understand it, to a level that will not embarrass you.

Re: Stop criticizing PAD
Regardless of the intention of the PAD, and whether their cause is noble or not, they should not resort to anarchism to make their point. The lawless actions of the thugs who took over the 2 airports is appalling. This is something to be expected of a "third world" country. I expected better from Th...

Re: Getting "into" Udon
Good advice Jingjai. My money will spend just as well elsewhere. Oh..... Fussychunk.... the American Airlines web site doesn't even acknowledge what has happened, unlike Northwest Airlines, which is offering its customers to reschedule. And when I called American, they more or less implied I was on ...

Getting "into" Udon
I will be leaving Chicago's O'Hare on Wednesday via American Airlines. Then I was "supposed" to do a code share flight with JAL to BKK. Doesn't look like that's going to happen. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might best get to Udon from Tokyo? I've never taken a route other than through B...

Re: Feelings about anti-American drivel
I respect your opinion Pakawala. But best i can remember, there were no Iraqi's involved in the 911 attack. Nor was there, at that time, any Al Qaida inside the country of Iraq. They were mostly Saudi's and were based in Afghanistan. The issue of Saddams brutality is separate from the attack on the ...

Re: Feelings about anti-American drivel
I am American....... and probably reflect the opinion of most of us living here in America. We wish we had stayed the hell out of Iraq too and kept our money right here rebuilding our own roads and bridges. Sure Saddam was a brutal dictator, but that was a problem for the "Useless Nations" to resolv...

Goodbye Thailand.... I am GONE !!
Inconsistancies in governmental policies and practices, (ie. Immigration), tired of the locals trying to weasel money out of me every time I turn around and just plain tired of the dirty living conditions here. Oh.... and it is not as cheap as it was 4 years ago either. The minuses have now outweigh...

Not baseball or American football......... basketball........ college basketball to be exact. March Madness is one of the premier sporting events in the USA. I just wish Thai TV recognized that. Personally, I wouldn't waste 2 seconds of my time watching professional basketball from America...... but...

Well.... my landlord does live in Udon..... but he is a busy man. He is the manager of a brokerage firm and cannot just take time off work to accomodate his tenant. In the previous "5" vehicle transactions all I needed was signed copies of his ID and the house book. Not good enough for that little w...
