I've eaten at Steve's many times over the past 2 years. Their pork chop is one of my favorite meals in Thailand (love the mashed potatos and gravy), and the spaghetti is good too. My GF loves their Tom Yum. =D> Never have any problems with the service. Little Tai is a hoot and always takes good care...

Something many people outside the U.S.A. may not realize is that virtually every player in the National Football League attended college. The majority of NFL players "attend" college, but I'd imagine the graduation rate is 50% at best. They play college ball for 2-3 years then go pro. They aren't g...

It is a judgement call by the umpire as to whether or not the fan interfered and if they leaned into the fiield of play. This came into play in the Yankees/Red Sox seires in the past on national TV when the kid with a Yankees hat, but at Boston, leaned in and cought a home run ball by a Yankee. The...

Having been a tipped employee for many years in the States I would say this article is a little off. Most people do not tip 20%. 10-15% is more common. If they can't figure out the 15% they go down and tip 10%, not up to 20%. Bartender $1 to $2 per round or 15% to 20% of tab I've tended bar. Most pe...

NO MATTER HOW GOOD SHE LOOKS, SOME OTHER GUY IS TIRED OF PUTTING UP WITH HER SH*T. Allow me to relate the first time I heard that phrase. When I first moved to Vegas in 2000, I was sitting at the bar in a strip club one night, just drinking my beer and enjoying the parade of hot, scantily dressed w...

My Thai GF read this story in a Thai newspaper and told me about it. According to the paper, the Brits were drunk and kicked a car belonging to a Thai woman, and that set off the fight. All this happened at apprx. 3AM. My question: What were these British "tourists" doing on the street in Nakon Sawa...

I for one am glad Fox is back on. I enjoy O'Reilly (though i don't always agree with him), I like the satire on "Red Eye", and, most importantly, they have some really hot female news reporters. Dominica Davis, Harris Faulkner, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and especially Julie Banderas. Hubba hubba. 8) I use...

I tried to explain to my TGF that in most countries they show foreign films with the original soundtrack and have subtitles for the locals. She just kept saying, "This Thailand, so movie talk Thai." ](*,) I can't stand it back home when a foreign movie is dubbed in English. I think it really changes...

Just to follow up on my original post, my friend did it himself, with some help from my GF and her friend, who went to Lao with him for the afternoon to show him around. No, he will go to Vientiane but he wants someone to take care of the paperwork for him, like the border run services in Pattaya who drive you to Cambodia and take care of everything while you shop at the duty free shops. He says he has a similar service that flies you to Malaysia and gets you a hote...

In the past he has paid a single fee with an agent in Pattaya which included airfare to Malaysia, hotel for one night, and visa fee, but apparently that is not available when you travel to Laos? We talked to the Udon-Vientiane bus people today(who take a load straight to Vientiane and do the border ...

Can an Agent get you a 60-day Visa?
I have gone back a couple pages here and not found the info I need, so I'll post a new topic. Sorry if the answer is common knowledge. Can the agents in Nong Kai secure a 60-day tourist visa for a customer, or do they only do 30-day tourist visas? Are there agents here in Udon who preform this servi...
