Re: Bus to Nong Khai
To clarify, the mini-buses from Udon airport will take you to Nong Khai bridge, or anywhere IN Nong Khai (town) for 200 baht. The mini-buses are available at the airport whenever there are flight arrivals. By far the best solution if arriving at the airport. :D If one wants to get from Udon city ce...

Re: kiwi girl dies of food poisoning
According to the New Zealand papers and television 5 people have died, not 4 as previously thought see:

Re: So you think you have problems
Thank you for your kind offers of bananas but I have checked with the GF and she assures me because the elephant is very sick the only things that would help the elephant recover would be a new mobile phone and some gold.

So you think you have problems
I often see posts by men who complain about Isaan girls asking for money for sick buffalos. I have just met a girl from Chiang Mai and she has a sick elephant. Help!! - All donations gratefully accepted. [-o<

Well said nkstan, there are good and bad in all races and sexes. Maybe in the end we all get the partner we deserve.

Calling any Kiwis
Merry Christmas. I am on my first visit to UT from Auckland for a few days and would like to meet up with any Kiwis (or Poms, or, Aussies or...............) for a coffee and a chat and get to know about the place.

Free WiFi?
Will be visiting UT with my trusty lap top and was wondering if there were any recommendations on free WiFi hot spots. I know nothing is free in this world but the “buy a cup of coffee and use their WiFi” type of deal. Also interested in Khon Kaen as well.
Thanks and Happy Christmas

Re: Are Farangs 'sticky/stingy/tight/kee Neow.....?
Well you have really managed to spook me into making changes to my preparations for my trip to Isan at Christmas so I don’t become another stereotype Farang. I will have to get a new wig, new implanted teeth and a stronger corset to reduce the waist size. This of course will leave less to spend on g...

Re: Are Farangs 'sticky/stingy/tight/kee Neow.....?
I have read several forums on a similar theme – money and it seems to me that over the years the farangs have trained Thai women into a cargo cult mentality. Western man = Meal Ticket. I had an Asian wife for 22 years until sadly she passed away and in all that time we shared everything 50/50 Becaus...
