Re: OT poll

No option. Voted YES. Don't like the idea of being a jerk and I don't know what a DIV is. While talking about "old" my favorite quotes, which may apply in some way to OT: Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional. Three things happen when you get old: first you start losing your memory and.....

Re: I was thinking

A sneak peek into OT's mind................admittedly it is a deep and dark place where most fear to tread but come on its just OT reflecting on life and its interesting 'cos he sees and thinks about some things differently. sad really that there...

Re: Ho Chi Minh Educational Center Udon Thani

I'm working over in Vietnam at the moment and i live up near Nong Khai. One of the most amazing things I've found over there is that there is no ill-feeling towards Americans. There is a huge amount of it towards the Chinese and to a lesser degree the French. They admire the US and use it as a refere...

Worked on a pipeline up to the Myanmar border some years back. A local Malaria clinic advised us not to take any medication for malaria. There are 3 strains of malaria, one of them being celebral malaria which can be fatal. Preventative medicines in the system make it difficult for the doctors to de...

There is another issue here. I believe the Govt are trying to overcome the existing problem of not so legal import of bike parts which are then assembled and sold without registration. This in turn has problems of insurance etc.. There are already thousands of big bikes on the road, 70% of which are...

I empathise with you all. However, it is easy to be selective to prove a point. Why not mention the US shuttle? What percentage of the whole are you talking about? Here in Thailand they have been constructing and operating petrochem plants, pipelines and power plants for well over 25 years. Have you...

Have to agree with Doc. I work here in Thailand on big petrochemical projects and I can tell you this: Firstly it will have to be western companies as the major contractors. They bring with them high standards of quality, safety and environment. There will be an Environment Impact Assessment, the re...

"We have a reponsibility to the the security of the Iraqi's and the region as a whole, whether or not policy decision mistakes have been made or not in the past!" I think you are right Galee. I nearly always say I'm Scots. Mind you if I'm talking to some official they will only accept British or English.

By the way did you know that 42.73% of statistics are made up on the spot? Like.... 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.

I am not American and I don't know about anyone else, but, I was totally amazed that he was voted in for a second term. You USA ctizens have to take some responsibility for that.
