Re: Lek Car Rent (Sponsor)
The key for me is the insurance. I have been involved in a crash here. I was hit while stopped by three teenage girls piled on a motorbike going way too fast. Non-trivial damage. They admitted to the police that it was completely their fault and that they plowed into my car at full speed (no helmets...

I'm sure you were alive when the federal government shut down in previous administrations. Nothing earth-shattering happened. Indeed I was, but the analogy remains inapposite. The fact that "[n]othing earth-shattering happened" during a partial shutdown of the federal government which lasted for a ...

I think that that's a startlingly inapposite analogy. There's no mail on Sunday; yet our society continues seven days each week. Does that mean that we don't need a mail system?WBU ALUM wrote:The federal government shuts down every weekend. No one misses it.

In addition, one state is 2% of America. It's also a state that has many more health insurance carriers than most states, which creates more competition. Sure, if you go by the number of states. But use any meaningful and relevant statistic, and, of course, New York is much more significant than 2%.

Yes, of course. That was apparent. Just thought that people might also be interested in a somewhat academic discussion of that issue.Frankie 1 wrote:There are different articles and different researches which show different numbers. However, that is not the issue here.

Was in the airport yesterday. Two new (well, old, actually, but new to the location) immigration-type desks set up just outside the baggage claim area exit doors.semperfiguy wrote:... I heard they will be starting that route out of Udon about this time in July.

FWIW, the only one which successfully fends off the deadly Windows Defender virus is Kaspersky, IME. I've now been hit with this virus twice, but my Geek Squad guy told me that Kaspersky is the only one which protects against it, and since then no probs.

Isn't that definition of bias? If you want it to be. It can be anything you wish. I just find that their polls hardly ever show a conservative view. You can knitpick one word or one line of the entire post all you wish. Some others on here like to do that, too. The thread is about Obama and his pol...

That strikes me as a little harsh. What? Sorry, it wasn't clear. Labeling the Quinnipiac Polling Institute as a liberal ( i.e., biased) organization. It has a good reputation in the industry. It's funded internally in the university, accepts no outside funding and has no clients. It conducts the po...

http://www.quinnipiac.edu/institutes-and-centers/polling-institute/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=1920 Quinnipiac (a liberal outlet/organization) released a poll Thursday that delivered mostly bad news for the Imperial President. Instead of putting the bottom bit in my passport she stapled this notice in. Image0001.jpg Interesting. That's 91 days not counting the day on which the sta...

Hi, Milkman, UM has a dentist sponsor, Ratchanai Dental Clinic. They have offices at the Clock Tower Circle and in Central Plaza. A member of my staff has met Dr. Ratchanai and says that he is a nice man. No idea on his skills, though, and I believe that he has a number of dentists working for him. ...

Fascinating. When I was looking at buying a vehicle, I first went to an authorized Garmin dealer in Bangkok, ESRI. They told me that Garmin does not yet have street level maps for Udon, so I didn't buy it. Ended up buying a Toyota VIGO with navigation built in, and it works great. Anyone know who ma...
