I am planning to be in Nong Khai during Loi Krathong and wondered if anyone had any information to share on the activities this year. Also a downtown hotel recommendation within walking distance of the restaurants and events.

I stopped by the Villa market yesterday. They do have a more extensive selection of alcohol. I purchased a bottle of Ferreira Port Ruby. I do not plan to consume the entire bottle in one evening, but thanks for the recommendation.

I believe they have a steam room or sauna at the Physical Education College along the Ring road. I have seen it but never used the sauna. The daily rate to use the facilities is 30 baht.

I had Canon Powershot and experienced the dreaded "lens error". After trying all of the corrections on the internet I bought a new camera. Thanks for the comment.
