Not that it matters ....but problem solved . I convinced the Thai GF finally to call the post office and ask them to check what was happening. About 1hr letter she received a call and was told that a bundle of about 10 letters was "found" at the post office. This included the awaited letter from USA...

thx for the responses ..................... however I am still waiting on a letter sent from Austin Texas on 20th april, ordinary post. In comparison , I posted a parcel ( weighing 1.5 kg) from Udon thani on 10th May and it was received in Brisbane Australia on 20th May. Just have to keep on waiting...

I have lived in Udon Thani now for 18mths. Now , I admit that I dont spend any time in Farang bars, Nutty Park etc, But the ONLY issue I have had in that time is getting used to driving the motorbike on the roads. Need 360 degree eyes.
