If we stay at the Irish bar, how difficult is it to catch a taxi to the airport around 5 am?

We are arriving to Udon Thani from Laos in the afternoon and have an early (7:35am) flight in the next morning. I am looking for a suggestion where to stay, if we would like to be in walking distance to good street food (I assume there maybe a night market selling meals?) and easy way to catch a tax...
