Re: Toyota Vigo Pre-Runner 4 door 3.0 litre turbo G

Now reduced by 40,000 baht due to lost deposit - only 380,000 baht.

Not to be confused with the 2.5 l models, which are under-powered, or 'J' or 'E' models, which are not as well equipped - although they are a similar price second-hand, some more expensive!

As I tried to explain, the pipes may be the same, they may not.

Re: Tiger Retro (Honda Cub copy) with sidecar - fully legal

Thanks for that, @marcus, it'd probably reach a wider audience, but it's sold already to an enthusiast from Bangkok who's getting it collected tomorrow, and it'll be a neat match for his original Honda.

Re: Tiger Retro (Honda Cub copy) with sidecar - fully legal

Nice little bike. A friend has one and he mentioned what he thought it was worth. I thought he was crazy, he was claiming it was now worth more than the new price. I looked around on the net and found a couple that were going for a high price. It's discontinued and somewhat of a collector piece bei...

Re: Central Air AC spilt AC units

Its got nothing to do with the size of the units but the make and the type of gas. I'd suggest asking a reputable major installer or looking at the detailed specs, although it's possible to see the differences by eye if you look at a range of compressors or you check the detailed spec sheets which g...

Re: Central Air AC spilt AC units

Thanks, Mick. No idea what you're getting so upset about, but evidently you know as much about a/c's as you do everything else you past about, and I haven't missed much while I've been away from the site. The info about different sized pipes comes from the a/c installers at HomePro, and as a result ...

Re: Central Air AC spilt AC units

One very important point which appears to have been overlooked with all this talk of 'pre-installed pipes'. You can't pre-install the pipes until you know what type of a/cs you'll be using as different brands and different models use different gases and that means different sized pipes. There is no ...

Re: Paint peeling on outside of house

If you don't use a decent sealant as a primer the exact same thing will happen - just maybe slightly later. If your tiles are lifting, you can easily take one or two up to check the problem. Tap around all the tiles, and if you get a hollow sound they're probably badly laid or your tiler's used the ...

Re: Red Brick

As has been mentioned by others, and as I said, you CAN hang TVs, cupboards, etc on thermal blocks - its just a question of using the correct fittings, and that doesn't just mean longer screws. Edit: these fittings are widely available from HomePro, Global, etc. They look similar to standard rawlplu...

Re: Red Brick

Good quality , and you'd know this because?? Because of the density of the brick. Obviously there are good and bad ones, some are better than others, etc, but I've only seen good ones. Maybe I've been lucky. "not sure why you'd paint the brick's" it's called protection , as why would you bother pai...

Re: Paint peeling on outside of house

It's a shame with all the experts, and I say that in a kind and positive manner, that we as a group can't provide Deankham with a solution to his very common problem. I'm sure that others who have the problem would like advice as well and more will check their design if building. I'm now glad I rai...

Re: Red Brick

Not sure why you'd paint the 'lego' red bricks - that seems to drstroy the whole point of using them! All the ones I've seen at garden centres are good quality, with a much smoother finish than a traditional UK brick. My only reservations against using them for a house would be the cost, as they're ...

Re: Paint peeling on outside of house

Right let's get a few things straight.ive been laying bricks since 1979 and I have numerous qualification and experience in these matters.first of all a dpc level should be set at a minimum 150mm or 6inch above ground level which would be your internal floor level but not your ffl finished floor le...

Re: Red Brick

This is what becomes of Thai red bricks, they do not handle the harsh weather unless rendered which is what they are designed for. https://www.123rf.com/photo_21065320_old-red-brick-wall-disintegrated-weathered-brick-fragment.html Totally different quality (and price!) to those suggested by @parrot...

Re: Water pressure pulsing

My pump is also pulsing and I solved the problem opening another tap, so while I'm taking a shower I also open the sink tap. Shouldn't make any difference with an inverter pump, which should adjust pressure / volume automatically, as @bluejets described. If you need to do this with a regular pump y...

Re: Water pressure pulsing

As already said, do NOT adjust the pressure switch, particularly on an inverter pump. Unless you know exactly what you're doing you are likely to do a lot more harm than good.
