Re: my trip to Ban Dung
Well VOA was and has always been nothing but a crackle and a fart. Radio Australia out of Darwin was a very much stronger signal till they closed in 2003. I'm less than 20 km from that facility and as such should be blown out of my living room with the signal strength. The jury is still out! :-$ Ye...

The sole purpose to counteract any snippets appearing that could be of assistance to the enemy or be used by them to discredit the allies. This was located in Cheltenham England. There wasn'...

Anyone no how long that station has existed ? Built in the late 80s/early 90s. Commissioned 1993. In service 1994. Did they need a lot of room to avoid sabotage to the facilities, could be. Yes. But security is for other reasons as well: personal safety (this is a high power broadcast station - lot...

I was reading that the radio station is on 3200 rai of land.Just a little more than one would need for a hut and a transmitter. The "hut" is the size of a large warehouse. The "transmitter" is actually seven transmitters, each capable of radiating 750kW peak power on shortwave frequencies. The larg...

VOA Transmitter Station, Ban Dung
It's best not to ask questions about this facility. There is MUCH more to it than meets the eye:- a. The Phen road which only has a few cars and samlors is long and wide enough to take a large military aircraft in the middle of no where. b. I cannot receive VOA broardcasts with a good quality radio...

"phpBB : Critical Error" while trying to access fo
Over the last few weeks I seem to be getting more and more errors while trying to read forum posts. The error is:
phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database
Also, it seems to be far slower than the old forum.
Is there a website hosting problem?
Regards
