Find out what charges your card has on international transactions. Some of them are quite high now. Also try to have more than one card. Those magnetic strips seem to fail at the most inopportune times.

Keep the prices going up until behaviour is changed and alternative energy development is ramped up. We don't want all of our money going where it is at this time.
