PLEASE !! You folks with the multi-megapixel resolution cameras, adjust your settings so that it won't take so dang long to download a picture!! Your camera probably came with the maximum resolution set as default but you can change it to make your pictures much more amenable to being displayed on email or to the forum. In fact, my camera has one setting under the resolution adjustments that just says, "email". The ones above, displayed by trubrit are excellent - quick to download and if you want to see it larger, just click on it, simple. Those of us with less than 2 megabite download speed would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
8)

It's nothing to do with the picture size, it's just the code used. Truebrit's photos are the same size as all the others posted, however he has used the code for forums and not the direct link to the image. ;)

Lee,

Now I'm a bit confused (so, what's new)... the photos steve3 posted came up quite nicely but I had to leave the site and check my mail then come back again before beer monkey's photo came up. Now they are all available and all the same size, physically, but trubrits pics are still small but able to click and increase size.? :?

If it's not too long and drawn-out, maybe you could give us a quick lesson on how trubrit does it so the rest could follow.? I have the same problem with the pictures from aznyron on the NM link.

or you have an option of clicking BB code for forums and would give you this, but you need to click on imageon screen to get full size image.

This thread is useful: http://www.udonmap.com/udonthaniforum/v ... php?t=7231

Personally I like seeing the photo full size on the forum. However if you prefer to show the small image it's simply a case of selecting the correct code to display small image thumbnails.

I prefer full size too when clicking on as you get more detail, but if mine cause to much of a problem then i can reduce in size to around 600 or something, i know how frustrating it is waiting for something to load.

Try this one, resized to 600 pixels, but the downside you cannot click on it to get full size and you loose some detail, but the upside it don't take long to load.

Your orchid photo is over 700k but the fish photo is 200k so getting better. I reduce mine in photoshop. The photos posted in the first post are approx 90k each but still look pretty sharp.

I re-size all of mine to 800x535 or 800x600 depending on the camera I am using before I upload to a server. I post the BB code in my post. Hopefully that's not an issue for anyone.

The forum software re-sizes it a bit but the quality is still better if you click on the image.

There's an excellent freeware photo application called Irfanview that I find very useful for resizing photos that I intend to e-mail to friends with less than high speed connections. It is easy to use, fast and the finished product looks great. :D

Did you buy your Photoshop package in LOS, Lee? I'm just wondering whether it's worth me buying one when I'm Thai side to save some money, instead of buying one in the UK...
