I have no problem exchanging pleasantries with Max on the odd occasion when we are in the same establishment. Easy enough to get along with.

As for his gold trading maybe he has shown he is a more astute businessman than those who invested in other ventures.

The above quote has been edited.

Glyn, I realise you have problems with Max but it is a bit mean spirited to state the above. Why should anybody be dissapointed that a human being has NOT been robbed of his possessions.

That's a simple one - a fool and his gold are soon parted!

Plus you purhaps don't quite know the full version of events. One guy was actually attacked on his way back to a certain guesthouse in Udon at 3-4am, they followed and grabbed at his girlfriend on back of bike, leaving her in a right state. We still believe this incident took place cos they put 2 and 2 together and were praying on Cable Guy.. The owner (not me - not my place) then barred him on these grounds. Cable Guy had no compassion, and refused point blank that anyone could be waiting to relieve him of his 1 million baht of gold.

Put another way - if ever you are in the same establishment as him, you are at risk, maybe a far-out, remote .001% risk, none the less - little guys with no value for life are watching him, and I don't wanna be around when the ---- hits the fan. Hence the disappointing news.

OOh! boys please stop the personal attacks, I don't know if my shoulders can handle it. Ha!

Is there any point in continuing with this thread as it seems to be just a mixture of gossip and vengeance against someone, and in some cases almost personal vengeance.

Yes, it's time to wrap this one up - this thread serves no useful purpose IMHO....

Well to put a sobering thought on this post, I know two max's here one American, a very nice man and the other hails form breat britain, which part uncertain. I assume you are talking about the british one, who deserves everything that happens to him.
Just a mute point being british i can say that, I have met the guy a couple of times and his attitude will bring him problems before anyone else says anything, warning him was like talking to brick wall. :D

think i met him once, not that many strolling around with that much flash around the neck. actually he was being nice and apologetic, apparently he thought he was a bit out of line, either himself or friend he was with, said hello and what ever as Ree was putting some things in car, prepping for departure from Irish clock after a night of festivities, as he was walking by and entered Irish clock. then she came in, talked with me for sec, put bag down on chair and headed to ladies room, at which he took opportunity to say hello, and sorry, didn't know she was with someone as he spoke to her outside, while i was awaiting breakfast to arrive. i said no problem, rather complimentary when people notice the lovelies, as long as not rude or undressing them too much with their eyes. asked her later and she couldn't think of anything out of order with his morning/afternoon salutations. don't know how he is after drinking too much alcohol, but before, he is apparently aware of himself.
