They had to open both fron doors to allow All Hail in the door,
Rumour was he went for a P**s and those who bat on the other side, ran for cover !!

Re: Muay Thai Fight Night - September 14th 2008
Thanks for the great pics and video Lee, I think everyone involved had a great night out with certainly no lack of entertainment,
May I try to explain to those readers which understandably think that Danny and Steve’s fight was a mismatch there are other things to maybe take into consideration?
Danny after many months of training was eager to test everything to the full by having the ultimate test. A competition fight…but it was not easy finding a Thai opponent of similar weight class & experience. So both Steve and he agreed that they would fight each other. (they both train at the same gym) NOT a show fight but a proper fight which they both would train immensely until the fight night. Stevie trained a little harder than maybe anticipated….but I am sure he now feels the better for it….
Stevie is very experienced and it certainly showed on the night, he also showed great respect as to proving to being a sportsman and the great guy he is. (his mouth guard accidently fell out of his mouth in the 1st round giving Danny a few more vital seconds to recover). Few would not do a thing as honorable as that.
As for Danny I think that anyone that was there on the night can give him nothing but praise & respect for his unusual brave performance which included him standing up over & over again maybe 10 times after receiving the force of Stevie’s powerful combinations. If you was to ask anyone who was there on the night, this was definately not an exhibition fight.....
Danny’s got a bit of a sore jaw today and Stevie maybe a bruised leg, but one of the main things is the sportsmanship that goes into these events. Now they are the very best as mates,
Congratulations to you both’

Re: Muay Thai Fight Night - September 14th 2008
The only surprise was that the fight lasted into the second round.
Danny needs a lot more training methinks.
If they schedule a re-match for 10 years from today, Danny will be a bit more experienced and Steve will be nearly 60...then we will have a fight on our hands!!!
Well done to you both.

I was impressed with Steves fitness and prowess for his age.It was a decided mismatch and didn't look Muay Thaish, but more of a brawl with Steves agressive forceful offense with seemingly disregard for Dannys ability to slow him down or hurt him.Cheers to both for entertaining us!

For everyone that was not at fight night, the Steve and Danny fight didnt end in the second round it went the distance,3 rounds, and Danny obviously lost on points. But what a great show i dont know how he kept getting up after those powerful blows.Steve was on excellent form and showed great sportsmanship.Would definatly like to see Steve fight again and like to see Danny in a fair fight. What a great night all round.
Re: Muay Thai Fight Night - September 14th 2008
Yes, Agreed. Danny showed amazing heart and courage slugging it out with
Steve but not a good strategy with All Hail's obvious physical advantages. Some
more continued development on Muay-Thai techniques would be the only way
you could even find some level ground here. Awesome performance by them both. =D>
