Philip there is always plenty of teaching jobs, depends on what you expect in the way of salary.
Do you have a degree ? is it from a english uni ?are you native english ? there are many schools surrounding udon and you have plenty of time to plan.
Pm me if you have any questions i will try to help.

You best forget about "teaching" English until you understand it, to a level that will not embarrass you.

teaching english start 2919, well many farangs say it would be easy to get a job, many will say the opposite, as I do feel your english is suspect. You could have a few problems.
Many teachers use the old friends network to get set up, so there are some questions I would like to ask you
1. Are you an old friend
2. Are you a NATIVE english speaker
3. Why 2010, why not now
4 Expectation of income from such a job
5 Why Udon, more income from say Korat, Chiang mai, bangkok

Answers to all or some would give an indication of intent, if answer to question 1 is a NO have a nice day.

Any farang who wants to come to a class with me is most welcome all ways looking for some volunteers to speak at the lessons, no experience required, just need to be a Big Kid, and be able to go back to their child hood and have fun playing games, the kids love it

Well Philip, If you really want to teach English I would suggest you go back to school first and learn it.

Even ignoring all the minor errors in the body of your OP, such as no capitals and missing punctuation (im), even your basic grammar in the topic title is wrong.
im going to do a TEFL, is there many jobs in udon?
= I'm going to do a TEFL, ARE there many jobs in Udon?

You are winding us up, aren't you?!! I guess your degree is in spamming?

Well they are complaining about the standard of education being taught in schools these days, so maybe this is just an example of next years graduates

Hello Philip
I hope you enjoyed your visit to Udon and I suspect that's why you are hoping to work here. As I tried to explain to you things are not as easy as perhaps you think. You want to come and teach here when you're 20 (if I remember you're 18 years old now.) You also felt that a monthly income of 30,000 baht was possible teaching in Udon. Again I explained to you that because of your age, lack of experience and qualifications, that would be highly unlikely.
You are still very young and maybe a little naive(no offence intended). In 2 years you're whole outlook on life could change.
Get some good qualifications behind you and then think about how you really see you're future. Time is on your side not like most of us old b*ggers.
Don't forget you must learn to walk before you can run.
I'm sorry to say you won't get much sympathy on this site.
Don't get upset with some of the remarks they're a good bunch of guys but you did lay yourself open wide for some sarcism

Sorry guys i quickly wrote it down because i did not think you would bloody scrutinise it. I want to teach in udon because thats where my friends are and where i know my way around.

I want to do this in 2010 because i want to save up money so i can stay for a long time.

But after reading your good advice (and childish comments even at your age) i think i may give this one a miss.

The ONLY reason i wanted to teach english is so i could earn money in thailand, so i could be in thailand long enough to learn thai and have a second language.

Even though it a pritty point language to learn due to it only being spoken in thaland but i have a passion to learn it.

I may do this TEFL and go up to udon and just see how it goes, if i fail i fail, i mean, its not exactly going to be the end of the world isit?

Again let me remind you i didnt want to start teaching because i wanted to teach it was because i wanted to live half of what i saved up and half of what i was earning to live in thailand to learn thai.

look for the spelling mistakes if your old and sad enough.

thanks again for the advice from people i really appreciate it.
