hi to everyone on udon map this is my first attempt at a post so bear with me as my computor skills are very limited.I have tuned into you all for a long time now ive even met a few of you at the irish clock.I miss udon very much even though i have only been a few times. Your banter updates news and general chit chat keep me in touch with whats going on in udon so i just wanted to say thank you.I married a beautiful udon girl in june 2008 i fell in love with Pra june 2007 and i feel honoured to be part of her family. Even though they are very poor they are very proud and never ask me for anything and treat me just as one of the family i feel very lucky. I dont know why im telling you all this i guess i just want to say i understand the beauty and enchantment of thailand and in particular udon thani.This is a great web site and i envy all of you who live in udon. Keep chatting and keep me up to date ill be back one day i hope money and work permiting

Yes, welcome to the Forum. You will read many naysayers telling you to beware of the marriage to an Isaan lady and to watch for her family to spring on you for help in the future. Lay it all aside. I have been married to an Isaan lady for the past 36 years and have not once been hit with any of the b.s. others will try and tell you will happen. Keep an open-mind,
remain a part of the family, learn the culture and beliefs and respect, not necessarily practicing them, but respecting them. It has worked and I feel more a part of my Isaan family than I do my own blood. Chok dee to you and your lady. And, again, welcome to this Forum.
