Well the wife informed me this after, that 3B called, saying bill has not been paid. Hey the due date was the 24th, so right I am going to rush out and pay it. This is the second time I know of that they have called. Had MAX for years and they never were worried, sounds like 3B has a cash flow problem.
Anyone know why the switch from MAX, did 3B buy them or did TT&T give them the contract? Sure would be nice to have options!

Re: TOT ADSL
Hi,
Sgt. I am living in Maliwan and since late 2005 had no problems with internet. Except for last week over payments. Since it was taken over, at some times of the day it has been slow, but not to slow. In almost five years I have only had the internet down twice. Never had it drop out etc.. Since I have now sorted everything out, re. payments, I have been using it every day, since Saturday, for six to eight hours a day, catching up for lost time, and have had no problems up to now. Touch wood.
I have a air card and in emergencies can use that to receive the internet. The A/C is slow and I would not even think of downloading large items with it, Plus the price.
My laptop is over five years old now, getting by its sell by date. And slow by todays standards, AMD64 Athlon 3,600 chip in it.
Hope you get things sorted out.
Cheers Doug.

Re: TOT ADSL
As for paying online, I'd probably wait before going that route until they've had about a year longer to sort it out.In early 2009, Jasmine International launched ADSL services under the '3BB' brand in major cities offering speeds up to 3 Mbit/s for 590 Baht. This prompted True Internet to expand their services to 8 Mbit/s from 5 Mbit/s and matched 3BB prices.
In mid 2009, 3BB offers minimum speed 4Mbit/s for 590 Baht and expand their services from 8Mbit/s to 10 Mbit/s 1,490 Baht / month, prompting True Internet to temporarily offer free upgrades for current 8Mbit/s users to 12 Mbit/s.
All of Maxnet's customers were also transferred to 3BB as part of the TT&T debt rehabilitation plan proposed by the debt holders.. As of October 2009, True offers speeds up to 16 Mbit/s.
...Jasmine International used to be joint with TT&T and operated under the name 'Maxnet'. Now operates under the name '3BB'.

From what I've experienced and heard, this transition was not exactly seamless. Bills apparently were not sent out, then when they discovered this months later, instead of contacting their customers, as one might expect (elsewhere), they chose to cut off their service - the easy way to get them to the office to pay, I guess.
How many of us actually keep books on bills paid each month? And which ones did not come in any given month? Exactly.
I asked about paying online when I found myself in their office trying to re-connect my service. They themselves advised against this, saying basically that they're not "up to speed" on this (or anything else) yet.
Same apparently goes for paying elsewhere, like Lo-tut. (Although I personally haven't had any problems paying there.)
They said to come to their office and pay - "better". Which is, as usual, a bunch of teenagers with no responsible adult to be found, one of the most frustrating aspects of living here, IMO.
As I have an Internet-related business, and also download lots of torrents, and watch many streaming videos, I'm paying about THB 2100 / month for their "Business" plan, and get speeds something like this:
I've no idea if this would change much with another plan, but one thing I've learned after living here for a while, is not to change something that is working well enough. And I'm happy to pay another 1K/month just to keep things rolling.
Will leave it at that, as this is the "General UT Forum"; (know there's more related posts in the "Computers..." forum).

Thanks for the info.
Wife usually pays at 7/11 have not had a problem with bills or payments so far. One time I paid at Tesco.
My speed test results were 3.91MB download 0.50MB upload (can't figure out how to post picture, but looks like same site as you used) so at 1:30PM got almost as advertised for the 590 (631) baht service.

Go 3BB,
Was a TOT customer for 2 years, progressively got worse to the point struggling to be able to login.
Then took the punt with the 3BB advertising and went for the 4MB/1MB deal,, I regularly speed test now and have never had below 3.8 download, although several times I've only got 700 on the upload (which is not really an issue for me), I'm just off the Ring rd on the eastern side of Udon
Thanks for 3BB, i was getting quite frustrated before

Re: TOT ADSL
After a day and 1/2 I got internet back today. Tech came out, did something with the phone connection at house, pulled the wires, cut, stripped and hooked back up. It is working, a bit over 3Mb download. I checked the 3bb website for the "try 10Mb for a week free" offer, there isn't even a 10Mb package this week. I see one premier package, we have premier 4 Mb, for 5Mb over 2,000bht, certainly isn't the one we have. I guess, hell I don't even guess-give up, we have some package is all I know now. There doesn't appear to be an "Indy" package anymore either. Just a 3b with several packages, it has a 12 Mb for 1,490 the same as the old 10Mb. A note saying old customers with 4Mb Indy (I think) will gradually get 5Mb.Oh well, maybe tomorrow I'll get the wife to call "Miss Smiles" at the office and see what she has to say. Looking forward to that explaination. But, I did see her smile, once, she is rather attractive.
