This will happen (if you buy a remote wall mounted fan). Martynsnowman will be fast asleep and his wife will think it's time to adjust the speed of the fan using the remote control. She will have no idea where the remote is and turn the lights on and start looking everywhere including under your pillow when you are asleep. By that time you are both wide awake looking for the remote at 3 or 4 am.martynsnowman wrote:so now want 1 for bedroom , as my TW,s to lazy to get out

Get a pull cord fan, as this is something all Thais can find half asleep.

Got ours just over 2yrs ago bought 5 (2 in the living room , 1 kitchen and 1 each in the bedrooms) works well, use ours constantly, have the usual swing, natural as well as a timer. Standard size I think about 22-24 inch Hatari Remote.martynsnowman wrote:thanks for that tafia , are they any good , how much did it cost ,Tafia wrote:Got mine in Global

Cost then around 1300 I think.

Co-sign Tafia's post. We have the Hatari in both kids' rooms and the guest apartment. Everyone loves them.

I can't speak for the remote models, but the floor mounted 'Pro' models are excellent. We have 4 Hitaris, 2 Pro models and 2 standard ones, ranging in age from 3 months to 4 years, and have had zero issues with them. I bought a 30" model for use on the front porch for 1700 baht 3 months ago at Global, and it does the job. Keeps the mosquitoes down, and cools a bit, even when it is very hot outside. Next youngest is about 14 months old, and is used to cool the computer area. I think it is a 24" model and cost about 1300 baht. These are the ones with the metal 'squat', low profile mounts. Then standard floor stand units (with the tall plastic mounts) for the outside kitchen and the bath room, both over 3 years old. No issues whatever, and would buy another without worrying about it.
