Aircon unit service help please
Just some friendly advice:
Most times all thats needed with AC Units is simply cleaning, Clean both the Evaporator Unit inside and the Condensor Unit outside, (if its a split Unit) Make sure the coils are clean and the filters are also clean, Its simple to do and will find that will fix the problem if the Unit seems to be just not cooling properly. The coils need proper air flow to keep the gas pressure working, The ambient temp in Thailand is about the same year long so its not like gas eeds to be added or removed due to ambient temps
Ofcourse if you have a leak then you will need a guy in with the tools to repair the leak and vacume/recharge the System with fre-on Gas.
Now ive told you that, ive never cleaned one myself ( at home ) ( at work yes) as 400 baht for proper clean is cheaper for me than spending a few hours cleaning it myself then i have the time to go drink beer!!

Thankyou both you lads for trying to help me ,, problem is we havent been there for 18 months and I'm a bit worried about a bacteria build up , so ideally I would like it given a good going over before we return in about a week and a halfs time .
I'm sorry this seems a bit of an ill prepared idea , but I asked the wife to get the family to sort this all months ago ,, and yes you know dont you ,, sweet FA has been done despite my constant reminders .
Does that guy speak English Jack ? if not I'll take the missus with me when we arrive .
Thanking you once again so much

From memory, it was about 600, ee. The price will vary according to whether you need gas, and how much of it.
They serviced the blower unit in-situ, giving it a proper clean and flush with water, and checked and topped up the gas.
