Football schools?

The long summer school holidays are almost here and I am looking for activities that will prevent my 7 1/2 year old lad from turning feral and getting bored in the village.

He would like to improve his football skills, does anyone know of any soccer schools or suchlike in the area??

on the back road from the city to the airport, is an astro turf field with a couple of small pitches, right beside the road, where kids play, or have coaching in holidays
