Fox on udon Cable
To be very honest with you I had first watched recenetly I tend to get bored with it quickly, maybe I haven't hit the right story yet. It seems to have lots of human interest stories on it. So far I havent seen any meat and patato news. I enjoy the Aussie channel more. Even here in Thailand yuo have seven or eight news sources, so lots of choices.

To me it seems that on Fox if you are the loudest and most persistant your opinion wins the day. It matters not that that opinion is illogical, biased or not based on fact. If you are loud enough that opinion is accepted.
I also feel that the fact that Fox along with other stations dissapears from Udon cable has nothing to do with the content of the programmes. It is more to do with Udon Cable pirating the shows. Any show on Australia network that needs a smart card etc is blanked out.

Gurgle, Gurgle...
I am not bothered by whether there is perceived logic or not.I like to hear the arguments from both sides and make up my own mind! The arguments cause the loudness!
IMO,The others just keep slipping a slanted point of veiw that is so repeticious that people have been programmed how to not think, just accept!

Iwould say that is a ''fair and balanced'' post =D>JimboPSM wrote:There was an interesting analysis of UK newspapers on "Yes Minister" in the UK (a political comedy on TV), all of them have "large readerships" (in their own minds), their content and political slant vary enormously:
With any media, what one person believes to be "Fair and balanced" may be what another person believes to be "loony left" or "rabid right"• The Times is read by the people who run the country.
• The Daily Mirror is read by the people who think they run the country.
• The Guardian is read by the people who think they ought to run the country.
• The Morning Star is read by the people who think the country ought to be run by another country.
• The Independent is read by people who don’t know who runs the country but are sure they’re doing it wrong.
• The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country.
• The Financial Times is read by the people who own the country.
• The Daily Express is read by the people who think the country ought to be run as it used to be run.
• The Daily Telegraph is read by the people who still think it is their country.
• And The Sun’s readers don’t care who runs the country providing she has big tits.
Note, for topic relevance, The Times and The Sun are owned by Rupert Murdoch who also owns Fox News.

The notion that a story can be told without bias is really a silly concept. In a perfect world I would prefer to know where someone sits before they tell me where they stand on any given issue. All of the news channels I have watched seem completely dumb-down or just a headline service with pictures. Television news dealing with complex issues is for lazy people, you cant really pretend to have heard the entire story in two mins. The knowledge or spin you could gain from watching news on television really needs to but into context by reading opinion pieces.
I for one am glad Fox is back on. I enjoy O'Reilly (though i don't always agree with him), I like the satire on "Red Eye", and, most importantly, they have some really hot female news reporters. Dominica Davis, Harris Faulkner, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and especially Julie Banderas. Hubba hubba.
I used to prefer CNN because they gave you a US sports update once in awhile, but I hated that ogre Nancy Grace. Welcome back Fox!
