Post by merchant seaman » November 18, 2005, 12:55 pm

:censored: has probable the best food all around. Great Hamburgers no additives just straight beef. Thai food cooked for westerners taste and for the brave at heart. Give it a try.

Post censored due to blatent advertising, please read our forum rules, thanks.

don't know about the other offerings, but the burger didn't impress me that much, went there just for the burger after someone said they were quite tasty. good burger, but a burger, nothing special. steveudon, harry's, aussies all offer good burger also, my first 3 choices to stop before up2u, much more the location as opposed to the burger, it was fine. just not a fan of that little strip there. still haven't tried rauch kate's yet, always have something on special menu i get instead, but all beef offerings have been tasty there, so guessing burgers are also tasty. maybe next time.

Bit harsh there! He/she is only plugging a restaurant! Not a violent extremist, so no need to wish them dead! Why not let people advertise blatantly here? (at least in the forum sections) They will quickly be shot down if their 'goods' are shoddy! If not they should be pursuaded to become sponsors! Perhaps a new 'Members Only' Subject area of 'Blatant Advertising' could be set up? After all they may be advertising something worth while.

Sorry but these are the rules, you can advertise all you like if it helps answer a post.

There is a difference between a forum member recommending an establishment - of whatever variety, to other forum members - and 'in your face' advertising from those who appear to have more than a vested interest in a place.

If a place is good - sooner or later it will get discussed on the forum, and in the meantime if people wanna put the word out about their own establishment, I'm sure Admin would be only too pleased to talk to them about advertising rates :)

I, for one dont want someone telling me that this place or that place has the best burgers or whatever else they are pushing - its up to me to decide that - and if a place is recommended by another member, then that would make me want to try it - not someone stating that 'my burgers are the best' and the others are crap ! (for example)

Its not hard to grasp is it ?

We have no problem with our forum members recommendations and we all enjoy reading their reviews, however 1 liner posts which make claims like 'best food all round', 'give it a try' etc, especially on a visitors first post will be deemed as advertising and deleted.
