I think the chance of any successful legal outcome against this lady would be zero. Best your friend can hope for is to tarnish the lady's reputation.....
Unfortunately this kind of story is quite common and your friend has been lead down a well-trodden path. I know one lady who got a house built by her first falang 'husband'. Quickly dumped him and got the house extended and a brand new pickup out of the second 'husband'. He was then dumped and she has found a third guy (although this time a wealthy Malaysian, rather than Falang).
Its quite a little cottage industry.

yeah i know storys like this from before,it happens all to often,but if its possible some people might think a little by this warning so many yars after....

I refer back to the old adage - "a fool and his money are easily parted". :oops:

Caveat emptor is applicable - even more so when you choose to live in another country.
