nong prajak park
Re: nong prajak park
In the very early 2000's, Udon held a few welcoming parties for expats in the community. One, outside the city police department, had a variety of Udon businesses offering free food/drink. Uncle Mustache (ลุงหนวด) offered lahb from his restaurant.....so good!, we've been eating at his restaurant for the 25 years since.
There were a few other welcoming parties around Nongprajak.....I recall a parade of foreigners and spouses through the city. With all the 'handsome' guys in town, I'm surprised there's never been a Sexiest Falang contest in town.

I bet it was packed. Probably better to have a Loi Kratong knees up at Nong Bua park.

An early morning half-marathon, marvellous. I guess that microlite must have launched from that airstrip just out of town. I visited it once with Saint and Big Wave Dave for a radio controlled 'plane thingy.

Re: nong prajak park
Nong Bua is exactly 2000 Meters, or 2 Kilometers. Never walked Nong Prajak.
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

NP is 3.17 km, 2 miles.
Re: nong prajak park
Thanks for that boat race tip, mak. Nothing posted on normal Udon FB pages.......but should be interesting to watch. No times shown on the poster......but 23-27 January, daylight hours, is probably a safe bet.

Uni races. Lots of uni students in town. Bangkok, Surat Thani to name a few.
