Mrs. S grew up eating them but we've not tried to collect and cook them. I've eaten most of the other common insects found here but not the swarming mang mao. If the missus gathered and prepared them I'd give them a try but so far she's not been interested in messing with them.

The LED lights don’t seem to attract them, well they haven’t for the last two years anyway.

Maybe sending Mrs N into the paddies with an incandescent torch might work?

It was hot yesterday

Its is already hot today .. even at 7;30 am .... its gonna be a scorcher with 38 being forecast SO A "FEELS LIKE FACTOR " OF VERY HOT

Next rain of note is touted from next Monday eve / Tuesday morning lasting 4 /5 days ... a chance of heavy in places.

No, actually sat in the car giving it some beans. Some stray powder must have blown down inside my shirt by the AC. It made for an interesting, squirmy few minutes I can tell you
