No thunder, no wind, but 25mm of rain about 1AM last night. The weather forecast showed about a 10% chance. Somewhere in the bowels of my excel spreadsheet files, I have 15 years worth of actual weather data for Kilo 18.....hi/low temps, rain fall, unusual storms. I'll guess that this year's April would rank among the wettest Aprils since we've been at Kilo 18........just shy of a quarter of a century.

Just had 37mm between 17:00 & 18:00 this evening, hammered down. Now 10 minutes later all the standing water has gone = ground very dry.
We here in the rice paddies have not had anywhere near record rain fall through April.

Parrot i take it your refernce to Kilo 18 .. Kilo 3 Kilo 7 etc are the markings on the white roadside marker posts ?? if so where is Kilo 18 and more so what Kilo is the intersection upon i reside... chz DM

Rumbling thunder , very dark skies but only spits of rain at the moment .. could be in for a splodge at the Nadee APP/RR intersection where not a lot is happening on the construction front.

DM, you are at kilo 3, the ring road turns 90deg to the left at kilo 5, I'm at kilo 18, damn-good duck soup at kilo 20, Nongwahsaw (Tom and Jee's) at around kilo 26
Twenty-five years ago I first recognized that people in Udon all seemed to know where kilo 18 was. I'm sure there's a kilo 18 on the way to Nongkai, KK, Sakhon Nakon.........but even back in those days, when someone said kilo 18, everyone knew where it was. Why? I can only guess it was because of the Kilo 18 9 hole golf course and the nearby WongTong Resort. Back in those days, it was common to see a merc roll up to the resort with a Rahjapat uniform in the passenger seat. There wasn't much else out this way.
Rain's stopped but skies are still dark and I can hear the thunder rumbling again.

Quite a severe storm out our way yesterday early afternoon. Lost internet just as it was easing off. AIS came about 1pm today and it was fixed within 10 minutes. Lying torrags saying it was my fault, wife checked with other AIS users in the village. All had the same excuse. AIS would not admit it was their kit to blame. TIT.

A delightful, breezy 31 today. I’ve done all my chores so nice to relax.

AQI is showing an improvement even though Somchai next door was having a bit of a grass burning session yesterday rather than the conventional mowing
