Significant amounts of rain NE of Udon yesterday. doing the school run to St Mary's about 50% of roads flooded to som degree. But not as bad as In July.

i picked up on the Thai local news that there was an accident during the storm last night in which some students from Udon Pit school were electrocuted .. hence the power outage in and around the city circa 4 5 pm last night which caused the traffic chaos. Maybe Parrot can find the report on social media i just caught enough to hear 5 students were involved.

Over the years seen a few scary electrical shows due to rain and storms .. worst being at the Honda Big wing intersection about 6 years ago where a thick cable was waving about n sparks were flying ..

Nice today today on Udons costa del Nadee west side .. more heavy rain due later and through next week thou.

The student incident is now on all the major national news networks ..including a very clear eye witness video .. it appears from.the video the lampost had shorted out n was 'live' and the area flooded.

Yes you are correct, but so often as is the way with many infrastructure suppliers, there are somethings that are not perfect, one could take heart that even throughout all the rain that fell the Electricity continued to be supplied ,

These things can pass north or south or bullseye.......the result is hard to predict by the time the storm reaches Thailand. Probably safe to say 'lots of rain' for wherever it hits
