Why Thailand expats are grumpy

I agree with you TB, I like to keep friends that were born say within 2 decades of me anyway. But to each his own.

Dermot
That final sentence of your last post in response to KP is completely out of order.
You seem to have this ability to personalise things when responding to posts you don't agree with, you did the same thing yesterday with the Udon Farangs post with name calling and personal insults which resulted in posts being wiped off.
Im not sure what your agenda is but for me it is ruining a perfectly good forum.

Not about to read all the posts, but will add my 2 baht, anyways.

Agree with most of what started this off, excellent point about who lives here and who is passing thru, only people I find who speak/sit down and talk (excluding bars, sorry never go, so don't know) are people who are passing thru.

Always figured the locals who will not even make eye contact and say "Hi", is because they do not know any english, and therefore don't know what to say. Or, they already know you and don't want to be bothered. :(

This doesn't really warrant a response but here is my last word on it.

Why oh why don't you grow up for crying out loud and try to learn some tolerance, your turning a forum which is a useful tool for those who want to be here and share info and who enjoy some lighthearted banter into your personal vendetta site.
I cannot speak for everyone but I'm sure you are spoiling it for many people.
I'm amazed the moderators allow you to continue with you constant threats sniping and name calling.

I seem to recall that his early history on this forum displayed a great deal of touchiness, anger, and a feeling that he was a victim of something or other. Subsequently, this anger has moderated but seeps through now and again when questioned by other posters.

At least this thread is a good eye-opener for those who want to learn whether expats in Thailand, and Udon in particular, are somewhat on the grumpy side or not. The verdict seems to be that there is not always a display of harmony within the expat community.

Look at your posts Dermot, you dont need me to point them out to you...yesterday posts were pulled because of your sniping and name calling, you get personal mate you shouldnt do that... its a public forum for exchanging information and some light hearted banter but for reasons only known to you you respond the way you do. Im not sure what your agenda is but Ive met you on a couple of occasions and you come across as a reasonable guy, I dont know what happens to you when you get behind a keyboard. Give it a rest show some tolerance of others and dont get personal
